Took our grandson to an airshow (Morecambe) on Sunday.
Weather was superb, the Red Arrows gave their usual brilliant display.
The other  planes that really caught my attention (and my grandsons) were
the Utterly Butterly Display Team's Stearman biplanes.
Pitt muffler for OS FS52 Surpass on Kyosho P-4019 Sep 2003 05:07 GMT2
I'm considering buying a Kyosho P-40 warhawk and would like to put an OS FS52
4-stroke engine in it.  I would also like to fit the engine with a Pitts type
or slimline muffler routing exhaust out the bottom.
I've looked on-line at Tower, on the OS site and can't find the appropriate
Paint or covering?18 Sep 2003 23:21 GMT5
I'm building a Top Flite Cessna 182, 81" wingspan, from the kit. This is
only my second plane so I'm still quite new to building. The wing is done
and the fuse is nearly done, so I need to decide between painting or
covering it soon. For those not familiar with this plane, it is ...

Backyard aerobatic plane?18 Sep 2003 18:52 GMT5
Does anyone have a suggestion on a good electric plane that can be
flown in a backyard (probably a slowflyer) that can do aerobatics
(loops, rolls, (needs ailerons), etc.)  I have a Sky Scooter II right
now and can fly it well, but it really needs more room than I have in

Brushless Sky Cat18 Sep 2003 15:05 GMT2
I was thinking of getting into the brushless age by getting the Multiplex
Sky Cat and an Axi 2820/10 brushless motor with a Model Sports 4012-3
controller. I thought I would try it with 8 Sanyo 2400 RC cells. Does anyone
have any experience with this or a similar setup (weight ...
ARTF aircraft - safe?18 Sep 2003 14:44 GMT17
I thought the following comments in Model Aerosport SA Inc. Newsletter, from
a member club, of this September is worth passing on.
Quote:
In a previous report, it was mentioned that ARTF aircraft are generally good
best 4-stroke for H9 AT-6 Texan18 Sep 2003 13:54 GMT1
I am deciding between OS, YS, and Saito for this kit. I just had a bad
experience with a YS so I probably won't be getting one for this
plane. I'm looking at an OS 91, OS 120, or a Saito 100. Anyone flown
this kit before?
Clubs in Telford18 Sep 2003 10:33 GMT3
I just yesterday bought a s/h helicopter, and am trying to find out some
information about the local clubs and shops. To me it appears that all the
shops local to me have closed down (please correct me if I'm wrong, I live
close to the town centre). Also on occaision I have seen ...

Zagi 400X, elevon mixing and control throws18 Sep 2003 07:49 GMT16
I'm finishing building my Zagi 400X and I have some question about
control throws.
I use elevon mixing on my Hitec Flash 5. The elevons behave in the
following way. If I move the stick to the "full up elevator" position

For those that may care.....
Last monday (9/15) I took my Sig Kadet LT-40 out to the field for it's
maiden flight.  I spend the last few months building it here and there
whenever I had a chance, and I finally finished it this week. To my suprise
Best RC Magazine?18 Sep 2003 06:02 GMT17
My subscription to Model Airplane News is up for renewal, and I was
thinking about changing to another magazine instead.  Any suggestions?
When I originally subscribed to MAN a couple of years ago, I was just
getting back into the hobby after 13 years of being out.  What
DIY sheet metal fuel tanks?18 Sep 2003 05:43 GMT6
Do any of you know where I can find info on building my own fuel tanks by
soldering sheet stainless, brass, or tin? I have seen these built and even
made with a built in sump but I can not find any info online on a
recommended construction technique.
