GP Triton SUCKS ! ! !03 Sep 2003 04:55 GMT7
I've been using a Hitec CG-335 for a couple of years now and like it.
However, it does not discharge and the minumum charge rate is 400maH.
So, I decided to spring for a Triton, since I had heard so many good
things about it.
Scale details03 Sep 2003 01:42 GMT3
I am in the process of designing a 1/4 scale RV 6/7.  I am trying to get
as much scale detail as possible.  To give you an idea of some of the
things I am doing.  I plan on having a control stick that moves with the
servos in the cockpit, I might even put working rudder pedals in it ...

Protech Mirage 200002 Sep 2003 08:20 GMT2
After the disappointment of my West Wings Orion-E, I decided something a bit
quicker was requied, and so a Protech Mirage 2000 was bought from SMC.
Building was a breeze, 3 hours, using the supplied Speed 400, mini servos,
Jeti controller and hecell 1100 pack.  The instructions were ...
servos01 Sep 2003 23:46 GMT6
Hello group,
I am ready to install servos in a 60 size Spitfire ( 64in wingspan).
What low profile retract servo do you recommend?  (I am using mechanical
retracts, so a non-proportional servo is needed).
Thunder Tiger engine part?01 Sep 2003 23:40 GMT4
The screw that keeps the throttle shaft from sliding out of the carburetor
fell out of my engine Saturday.
The local source for TT parts [Texas RC Modelers in Plano] does not have it
in stock and they tell me it has been extremely difficult to get anything
school hols nearly over...01 Sep 2003 23:25 GMT1
...and that means I can get back to my life of balsa bashing and glue
sniffing!  I love having the kids round the place morning, noon and night,
but I miss my workshop!!

Don's Hobbies in Greeley Colorado Sold to New Owner?01 Sep 2003 14:32 GMT8
I went to Don's Hobbies in Greeley, CO. Saturday and a couple of their staff
told me that the owner had sold out to someone new. The place was packed with
customers and they were not able to give any real details, but neither of them
sounded like they were thrilled or eager to stay ...
Aircraft forward/aft balance01 Sep 2003 06:07 GMT5
Without going out and buying one of those balance devices is there a simple
inexpensive way of verify proper airplane balance? I was just going to flip
it over and place wing lead edge on raised surface to find balance point.
Any other suggestions? Thanks ahead of time...
Polyurethane dilema01 Sep 2003 03:41 GMT18
I was in Home Depot to pick up some clear poly urethane to fuel proof my
gasoline powered plane.  There were several flavors to choose from, so I
wrote down the 800 number for Minwax customer service to get advice.
Well, to my surprise they were emphatic that neither the water ...
