Anybody made one ?
How do they fly compared to a zagi ?
I get the impression, looking at the plan and photos in the RCME article
a few months ago, that they may well fly better than a zagi although not

Mix 'n' match Tx and Rx17 Oct 2003 09:56 GMT10
My Sanwa Rx seems appears to work fine when using either a JR or a Futaba Tx
providing I use the crystals for the Tx, e.g. a Futaba Tx & Rx crystal when
using my Futaba Tx.  Are there any problems that are likely to arise from
this practice as I don't want to find out the hard way.
6v Rx batteries17 Oct 2003 08:39 GMT11
What is the groups thoughts about using 6v Rx batteries instead of the usual
4.8v.  I fancy trying it but it doesn't seem to be the vogue nowadays.
Clearly you have to make sure the Rx and servos will take it and the battery
life is reduced but apparently there is more speed and ...

similar....

Coverite question.....???17 Oct 2003 02:52 GMT5
My experience with the pre-painted Coverite has been somewhat mixed. I
find that the glue that is used on this material is not very strong, and
the overlap joints don't seem to bond well. Is this also a problem with
the unpainted Coverite? I have been told that the unpainted ...
Charging very small batteries16 Oct 2003 23:36 GMT4
I am thinking about getting into the small electric planes and am
wondering about a few things.
First some of these small planes use 50mAh NiCd's, to slow charge (which
you need to do the first time, and every now and then to recondition)
.40 trainers16 Oct 2003 20:22 GMT8
I inherited two '40 trainers , ready to go, radio and all. Problem is, they are
prior to the frequency chage that occurred some time ago. Can the radio
equipment be updated? Is there any trade-in value? I'm an experienced modeler,
but have been out of r/c for approx 20 years, and ...

Profilm/Solarfilm covering iron16 Oct 2003 18:36 GMT7
The second, successive heat tacking iron I have bought is now going home.
Can any one recommend a high quality, branded iron for this job?  My main
complaints are that the teflon coating wears off in five minutes ( well
maybe a bit longer than that), the metal plate on the back of ...
Flying sites directory16 Oct 2003 17:25 GMT17
I travel quite a bit with my work and as I often have an electric model with
me, fly at suitable sites.
Whilst I take efforts to ascertain that I am not within 2 miles of another
flying site, this is not always easy. Even the BMFA directory does not  list
