Looking for a used speed 600 with prop & gearbox10 Oct 2003 10:12 GMT10
Conventional, not brushless. I checked out ebay, thought there would be lots
of electric stuff for sale, but there was not much as far as motors.
Thanks.
Wood Glue or CA...10 Oct 2003 07:49 GMT26
I find I get a better blond with wood glue that CA...Stronger and easier
sanding...the only thing CA has got going for it is speed, even though I
have to wait over night for drying with the wood glue.  Definately a
better plywood bond.  In put please, thanx, ken

Sanwa VG400 Tx09 Oct 2003 23:55 GMT1
I've bought a Sanwa VG400 Tx, but I can't get it to work.  First I tried
with Futaba xtals and Futaba Rx, no go.  Thinking I needed a Sanwa xtal I
bought a Sanwa xtal and GWS mini xtal for my GWS naro rx.  Still no go.  Put
xtal in Futaba, and it works fine with GWS rx.   So I ...
Odd radio snag09 Oct 2003 23:37 GMT9
OK, so my gear is pretty old, but as far as I knew servicable. Then one of my
planes rolled over on take off, and went in inverted.
At first no obvious reason, but back in the workshop I found an odd snag. When
you put in an input, the servos hang for nearly a second before motoring ...
Irvine Tutor 4009 Oct 2003 23:21 GMT3
I am getting along famously with my Tutor( famous last words)  very user
friendly, and the undercarriage is easily repaired after less than
featherlight landings.
Today though, a local Model shop told me that in the early part of this year
Repairing a broken Zagi Wing09 Oct 2003 23:13 GMT2
Hey group,
This is my second Zagi, the XT. I flew it last weekend and had a
crash where the wing is basically in 2 parts. How can I create an
effective repair of two wing halves. My concern is a jagged edge from
Missing Power09 Oct 2003 20:11 GMT6
I've just built a Multiplex Sky Cat which had it's maiden flight in today's
clear blue conditions.
Well, I say 'flight' - more of a struggle to lumber into the air really!
The short fuselage made for serious ground looping problems to start with.
Lousy Retracts!!!09 Oct 2003 20:04 GMT5
I have a Hangar 9 .60 sized Texan. It is beautiful, sturdy, and flies
well, but the retracts suck. Are there retracts compatible with this
plane that are sturdier? I checked Robart's site and they do not have
any that match this model. Am I stuck? I think the retracts are

SWAC - Had a really good time09 Oct 2003 16:23 GMT4
The SWAC, in Arlington TX, was a lot of fun today.
To Dr.Sandy Frank: you set up a really good show. Thanks.
The indoor electric demonstration was very cool.  I'll probably never fly
electrics, but they did all kinds of tricks.
"C" grain Wood, what's it good for?09 Oct 2003 16:13 GMT11
What is C grain or quarter sawn wood good for? This stuff is brittle!
I could see it used for solid tails but that's about it.

Thanks.

Hey I got an idea!
Most people I know think David Blaine is A Twa*.
Why not give him, his own 9/11 and fly in two model aircraft  with a decent
amount of petrol on board in to his perspex box.
