Tempgun05 Oct 2003 06:46 GMT6
I don't often praise products or suppliers, but after someone posted details
of a temperature gun at www.tempgun.com
They cost $35 plus $10 postage to the UK, about £27, so I ordered one on
tuesday 29th September and it arrived Friday 3rd October, that's 4-days from
Hangar 9 Texan: First Flight05 Oct 2003 06:23 GMT3
I took out my hangar 9 texan arf today. It has an OS 91 surpass. Everything
went without a hitch, I flew it 3 times, but one thing I noticed is that it
was kind of slow. For example, when trying to do a loop, it would almost
stop in midair as I reached the top of the arc. The 91 is ...

I have a 25 cc homey engine that I have converted for airplane use and would
like to make some smoke with it.  I have everything but a smoke muffler.  What
type of tubing goes inside the muffler to pump the fluid through? How is it
configured inside the muff?  I can make it if I ...
Park Flyer advice?05 Oct 2003 04:04 GMT9
I've been thinking about trying one of the electric Park Flyers that I've
been seeing at the local hobby shop lately, but before I invest in all the
micro/sub-micro electronics, I'm looking for some opinions.
The guy at the local Hobby Town(tm) has suggested the Pico Stick from GWS.
Magnum 52 4 stroke engines05 Oct 2003 00:37 GMT10
I have several of these.  Sraet easy have lots of power but after about a
gallon of fuel they idle poorly.   They die at idle on landing and I can
never taxi back to the pits.  Have tried many carb settings adjusting both
needles.  They seem ok on the ground but then die at idle.  ...
Reinforcing a Fiberglass Fuse04 Oct 2003 21:50 GMT3
I am building an Electric plane that has a Fiberglass Fuse.  To strengthen
the fuse they recommend using formers, however I need the space inside the
plane to put in Battery Packs.  I've heard of people using carbon fiber
threads to strengthen a FG fuse.  How is this done?  I bought ...
HiTec Eclipse 7 Question?04 Oct 2003 19:38 GMT4
Time for another radio use/programming question:
A friend has an UltraStick he wants to put his HiTec Eclipe 7 into.  The plane
has split flaps/ailerons.  He wants to use the 'crow' function for strange
maneuvers and also use the flaps as ailerons.  The manual for the radio says
Question about Lithium ION cells from Batteries America04 Oct 2003 19:04 GMT5
A couple of years ago I bought the Lithium ION battery and charger from
Batteries America.  I meant to use it in my GWS pico stick but it just
didn't give it enough RPM for the aditional weight.  Well at the same time I
also bought two of the 1200 LION cells to make another pack.  ...
Wingo - Camera?04 Oct 2003 18:17 GMT2

thoughts on different ones to use?  I currently own an AIPTEK DV3100
digital camera.  It weight in at 5.6 oz.  Is that going to be too heavy
for the wingo to carry, orwill that be fine?   Because it's ...

Hey I got an idea!
Most people I know think David Blaine is A Twa*.
Why not give him, his own 9/11 and fly in two model aircraft  with a decent
amount of petrol on board in to his perspex box.

Advice on Aeroteks' "Big T" electric plane, plse04 Oct 2003 13:50 GMT4
My criteria for an electric trainer are that it be really BIG,
stable, not stall-prone, and easy to build, easy to repair.  I heard that
the Big T is a really good trainer, easy to build & repair, etc.
However, J.K. Aerotek is not updating their web pages, I checked into
