RC Poll, favorite and least favorite plane02 Oct 2003 19:09 GMT33
Polls seem to be the new internet craze so why not have one of our own?
What is/was your favorite and your least favorite RC airplane?
My favorite was a scratch built Laser 200 from M.A.N. plans that I litteraly
flew the wings off of.

Me and my Saito 65 again....
Turning a Master Airscrew 13/6 I can't seem to get max rpm out of it.
As I add throttle the engine bogs.  Am I at the max throttle for this
prop size?  ie too much prop?  I don't seem to have this problem with

Looking for Delta wing R/C plane02 Oct 2003 15:06 GMT6
I saw a guy with what looked and behaved like a kite but was radio
controlled. It was highly manoeverable, completely silent and moved slowly.
My first reaction was that it had no motor as such and that it relied on
wind power and servo assistance to turn and soar etc.
Model Heli and David Blaine02 Oct 2003 07:45 GMT35
I read that somebody buzzed David Blaine (the idiot starving in a
perspex box) with a model heli under which was suspened a McDonalds
Happy Meal.
Now I would have paid good money to see that!
Using solar panels on electric plane02 Oct 2003 03:18 GMT10
I know this has been posted before but is anyone using solar panels on
their plane to keep the battery charged in flight? You can buy thin
film flexible panels
(http://store.sundancesolar.com/powulflexthi.html) but I don't know if

Looking for a nitro powered wing01 Oct 2003 22:52 GMT2
It must have been 3 maybe 4 years ago I came across a link to someone that had
a web page for a ARF wing that would accept up to a .91FX OS engine.
Well!  I lost the link!  I want the ARF!
Has anyone out here ever been to this Web site & seen this nice big unusual
Spirit 100 wing decision01 Oct 2003 19:22 GMT3
Hi, I have recently returned to R/C gliding after a long (20 year) absence.
I have a training glider ready to fly, but also want to build my own for
more advanced flying once the re-training period is over.
I have a SPIRIT 100 kit, but I am not sure which wing to build, the SPORT
Mighty Barnstormer01 Oct 2003 19:16 GMT6
Anybody ever fly a Mighty Barnstormer?  I have been building mine for
several months on and off, and I finally got it out to the flying field
today.  It's a huge plane, about seven foot wingspan, chord about 14
inches or so, parasol wing, from RCM plans catalog.  (I haven't measured
Vibration on OS-91FX!01 Oct 2003 02:41 GMT9
I wonder if anyone knows a good way to cure the vibration generated by an
OS-91FX.  Balanced wood-props have been used to minimize the problem, but
that doesn't seem to stop it completely.
Thanks in advance!
Battery cutting out01 Oct 2003 02:18 GMT3
A while ago I asked what type of battery to use with 2 GWS EDF50 fans hooked
up in parallel.  There was some question as to what type of draw to expect.
I finally had a chance to hook it up to a amp meter and determined it runs
at about 5.2amps.
Interesting work going on here.....01 Oct 2003 01:04 GMT1
