Can anyone explain the difference between a standard piston ring, which I
understand, and a dykes ring ( no puns please ) which I don't. How does it
differ from the normal type of ring?
The reason? I just got hold of another OS45 FSR, and this one is dykes ringed,

While mulling over some way to add exponential to a basic no-frills set

The thermometer was reading 5 C and there was no wind.
Time for a thermal vest and a trip to the moors.
Smoke from cottage chimneys was rising straight up and once on the moor
it was very quiet, no intrusive noises and not a breath of wind.

Anyone out there have experience putting the smoke tubing in a muffler for a
gasser.  I have a muffler and need to put the smoke fittings in/on it.  I had
"heard" that I could just pipe it into te muffler and it would work fine due to

I'm, about to buy a Lil' Trickler.  My flying sessions are usually
spontaneous and invariably I have not put my batteries on charge. The Lil'
Trickler would allow me to place my Rx, Tx, and glow driver batteries on
trickle charge and leave them there indefinitely insuring that ...

Hi there....any tips as to putting monocote over it's matching 'top flite'
spray. The heat from my hot iron lifts the paint off the plane while I'm
