JR Rx Antenna Length04 Nov 2003 03:01 GMT3
Can someone tell me the correct length of the antenna wire for a JR R600
Receiver on 72mhz.  My eye tells me the one I have is a bit short.
Thanks in advance.
Have a good day.
Cheap (free?) RC sim?04 Nov 2003 02:20 GMT4
Anyone know a decent freeware/shareware RC sim? I just want something for
playing around with, not a real flight trainer.  Keyboard/mouse controls would
be fine.Thanks

Fuel fitting04 Nov 2003 02:08 GMT6
For my vent line I use a Slimline unit that essentially is a fitting
with a pressed-in cap. On a recent maganize I recall seeing a
different unit where the cap had an outer thread. This, I thought,
made it easier to remove the cap. Anyway does anyone know who makes
Ignition - Radio distance04 Nov 2003 01:05 GMT1
I would like to move my receiver battery forward quite a bit, the
receiver is staying in the middle of the plane.
The ignition module and ignition battery up up front next to the
firewall.
Build it light! Build it true!  Building tips?03 Nov 2003 23:37 GMT29
We all know that building light results in a lighter all-up weight, lower
wing loading, and happier flying.
Getting your wing straight and true, getting the tailfeathers on square and
aligned, all make for sweeter flying planes.

OK, since the last discussion got squelched, let's try again.
I am getting a TT  pro .61,  Tower .61,  or Fox .61 or .74
Bear in mind I have had much luck in getting Fox engines to work well, where
others in the club have not, so don't discount them.
Have you flown full scale?03 Nov 2003 15:07 GMT36
I've not flown RC models in about 7 years--1996. I guess I lost
interest somewhat after totaling my last plane--a Lanier Stinger 40 (A
dog, BTW, to heavy). I built and flew a Goldberg Eagle 2, Quickee 500,
Midwest Super Hots, and the Lanier.
Right thrust?03 Nov 2003 14:49 GMT5

Bent battery :)03 Nov 2003 03:01 GMT8
Hello;
Well, the Bee was in a pretty good-sized mishap some time ago...
Happily, all the damage to the airframe has been repaired, pending one
aileron servo, but my battery pack has a slight bend in it two fifths of the
tail-wheel screw up!03 Nov 2003 01:09 GMT11
I just hinged and glued my rudder in place. After the epoxy dried, I
realized that I forgot to attach the tailwheel gear to the rudder! The tail
gear that comes with the kit requires that I attach it to the rudder then
the back of the fuse. There is nothing I can do without wrecking ...
Multiplex |IPD receivers02 Nov 2003 22:33 GMT18
Does anyone out there have any experience or comments to make on the \IPD
receivers being sold by Flair.
They appear to have the fail safe capabilities of PCM but are slightly
cheaper.
Servo silliness02 Nov 2003 21:47 GMT8
Hi, I'm new at this (which along with my parentage would explain the silly
question to follow)
I'm waiting for a buddy box cable to arrive so that I can learn to fly

To RCU Sellers02 Nov 2003 20:42 GMT15
There are lot's of us "leeches" who refuse to register on RCU (and never
will) but sometimes "leech" at RCU to check out sales items or messages.
(Actually, I am registered but will never again sign in. I spend most of my
time over at RCGroups.com.)
