putting it back together but have found the piston is not symmetrical so
can't decide which way round to install it!
Please can anyone help me?
Vario Helicopters02 Nov 2003 13:27 GMT1
Can anyone offer a comparison between the Sky Fox & the Benzin (or new
Benzin Acrobatic)??
I want to fly 'scale', not 3D, and move to a Airwolf fuselage later on.
I'm just looking for pros and cons to each.

Help me refresh my electronics knowledge02 Nov 2003 10:45 GMT18
I want to put together a small lighting system for my parkflier.  I bought a
pack of LED's from Miniatronics Corp.  It comes with 18 LED's and 18 470 Ohm
resistors.  The recommended voltage is 3 volts for the LED.  It says you can
use the resistors to prevent the LED from burning ...
Hitec mighty mini servos?02 Nov 2003 06:16 GMT6
I am considering using these instead of standards in my .40 P-51 kit.
Instead of (4) 311's I will use (4) 225's for a weight savings of 2
oz. For the throttle I will use an HS-81 instead of a 311 which will
save an additional ounce. My question is: Is saving 3 ounces going to
Charging Large Jell Cell Batteries02 Nov 2003 02:42 GMT12
I have a question about charging large Jell-Cell batteries.  I have
a large 12 volt Jell-Cell battery from SBS that I use the back of my
truck for fast charging some of my planes.  The battery is a 70 amp hour
batter.  Currently I use an automatic 12volt car battery charger set ...

I need a 3 channel transmitter for an Aerobird Challenger Electric RC
airplane. Must be Channel 3 to be compatible with my fuselages.
Most hobby places seem to be out of stock from manufacturer.
Thanks, Joe
Flaps, are they worth the aggro???01 Nov 2003 22:02 GMT7
Just building ("just", ha!!) the wing of my 81" spitfire and adding the
flaps.  To say they are a challenge is an understate, ment.  Added to the
challenge the hibging involves a goodly removal of lovely strength imparting
balsa.  So, are they damn well worth it?  Anyone built a ...

Sig Kommander part needed01 Nov 2003 17:13 GMT6
I built a Sig Kommander years ago, intended to be my second model.  I have a
couple of other planes now, but this one has never been flown, mostly
because I am missing one of the main gear struts, and that kit as been
discontinued.  The part basically a piece of metal stock bent ...
OS 40 engine problem01 Nov 2003 15:57 GMT3
I now have a friend's PT-40 restored and almost ready to fly.  I have a
problem with the OS 40 engine.  I can't keep it going properly.  It will
start with a little priming, but it's rough idling and sputters and stops.
I've tried adjusting the needle valve and the throttle screw, ...
Tower Hobbies .61 ABC engine01 Nov 2003 15:33 GMT25
Can anyone comment on the quality and performance of  this engine. It seems
to be a bargain at $89.99. I'm  on a limited budget and am considering
installing it in a 4 Star 60. Any suggestions on a reasonably-priced
alternate 2 stroke engine would be appreciated. I presently have a ...
Fox .4601 Nov 2003 14:03 GMT11
Is the Fox .46 any good? Also , any idea where to get a muffler for it?
TIA , Steve
I would like some help getting into electric flight - Victoria BC01 Nov 2003 13:01 GMT3
I've been bitten by the flying bug, but don't know where to turn. I
have been reading a lot of opinions and articles, but now I want to
start flying! I would like to end up with a model that I can fly in
our local parks and fields. I am tempted to get something like a
