Crash and burn....25 Nov 2003 03:25 GMT12
My lesson learned for others not to follow: I changed out my tires from the
crappy foam type you get in the box to some rubber 3 1/4" tires. The plane
was never very nose heavy.  The wheels were enough to shift the cg aft and
make the plane unflyable. Unfortunately I didn't realize ...

I have this arf model not put together yet, but was wondering what the snap

My question is what is the experience with other modelers with this Extra
300s.  The CG for this plane is 4 inches back from the leading edge.  My

Help Needed with JR X-37824 Nov 2003 18:28 GMT1
I recently got a superb deal on eBay for an X-378 - of course, it came
without a manual. . .
I am upgrading from an X-652 and, on the 4 channel planes, things have gone
smoothly.  On my 6 channel Spitfire, things are a little more problematic.

Pica24 Nov 2003 06:02 GMT7
New to the group, and fairly new to RC flying.  I've built two kits over the
last three years or so.  Has anyone used Pica kits?  I'm looking at their
1/6 Waco.  Any input?
Thank you
Woohoo!24 Nov 2003 03:02 GMT8
I bought my first airplane :)
Its a hobbico Superstar select 40.
I will be buying another plane (more like a build it yourself one) during
the winter, but I think this one will do for starters.

How long, on average, does a .40 O.S. LA engine, or any model airplane engine
last before a rebuild or to buy another one?
Thanks,
Jeff
The Answer for no Ground Touch (AMA '04 SC)24 Nov 2003 00:50 GMT1
Please refer to the Jan. '04 issue of AMA's "Model Aviation", page 108.

touch the ground, except while landing."?? (;-))<
Tower Kaos, was Right Thrust?24 Nov 2003 00:27 GMT4
I've been following the Right Thrust thread for a while, and I wonder why my
Tower Kaos (the kit, not the ARF), has a significant amount of both right
and down thrust.  I've noticed the plane tracks beautifully in inside loops,
but outside loops, unless corrected, turn into ...
