Engine alignment02 Dec 2003 23:37 GMT11
Some engine installation manuals indicate that the engine should be
installed with a angle of incidence to the right... for example the TS 75
indicates a right 2 left 0 angle of incidence... What exactly does this
mean? Do I need to shim the engine mount slightly so the engine ...
YS 63:  P.O.S.???02 Dec 2003 22:25 GMT62
I have been running a YS 63 engine for a few weeks. So far I have put almost
a gallon of 20/20 fuel through it. Recently, I have been getting an
unusually high idle RPM, and whenever I try to crank it up to full throttle,
the engine sputters for a few seconds then dies. Before this ...
Help, Spitfire ailerons02 Dec 2003 21:28 GMT5
Okay, I give up.  Anyone tell me whether the Mk 1 Spitfire had aluminium or
fabric covered ailerons?  Ditto the rudder and elevators.  I believe the
elevators were Al., the rudder fabric.  Anyone?

WTB Guillow's P-47 bubbletop canopy02 Dec 2003 13:37 GMT1
I'm in bad need of the canopy and decals (and possibly of underwing
tanks) from Guillow's balsa P-47D bubbletop, kit #1001 (1/16th
scale?).
Will pay reasonable prices, either by cash or by Paypal.

Engine Won't Fire02 Dec 2003 04:14 GMT9
I have been out of the hobby for 12 years.  When I quit, I stored my almost
(then) brand-new Fox .60 2-stroke.  I soaked it good with after-run oil.
Recently, I decided to get back into flying.  I disassembled the Fox
(everything looked good), soaked it good in oil, and reassembled ...
2 stroke leaning question02 Dec 2003 03:31 GMT5
Hi there! I forgot to add this Q to my other thread, so here goes:
I've got an Irvine 39 2-stroke attached to a Limbo Dancer. I'm familiar with
leaning in full-sized aircraft (either to peak EGT + 25degC or slightly on
the rich side of peak RPM).
Dynaflite  - cutting back on giant scale kits?02 Dec 2003 01:38 GMT4
I was just checking the Tower Hobbies site, and noticed they show the Dynaflite
Flybaby as discontinued, as well as the PT-19 kit. In fact, they currently show
only three other kits.

One of the guys at the club has a Magnum 40 that is worn out. (low compression)
Where can I get the parts to help him rebuild it?  I guess I might as well
welcome any other comments now as I know they are coming!!!  LOL  Eddie Fulmer
Royal B-25 Canopy Question01 Dec 2003 23:26 GMT1
Anyone out there built the Royal B-25?
How did you handle joining the forward canopy that comes in two
pieces. A friend of mine is working on his now. The supplied pieces do
not fit each other well, nor do they look like they will fit the

OS 1.60 Gemini Cooling and Thrust01 Dec 2003 21:37 GMT1
I have installed an OS Gemini 1.60 twin fs in my lake rengade.  The engine
is enclosed in a scale nacelle with two 1.75 in. diam. cooling ducts to pass
cooling air from front to back.  The engine will be turning ccw with a 16
1/2 " pusher prop.  Do you expect I will have a cooling ...

Can someone tell me the news group for RC air binary pictures.  I know it's
discouraged here for bandwidth reasons, but I just finished my Super
Chipmunk restoration and would like to display it.  Thanks guys.
