GWS recievers25 Dec 2003 13:31 GMT19
Any opinions on these receivers as I was wondering about the reliability of
a £20 receiver in stead of the £40 Futaba ones and are they full range
and how do you search old threads on OE ???

Web site updated25 Dec 2003 00:27 GMT4
I've updated my web site to include a short photo album on the
recently-completed torsion box building table.
Flattest building table I ever had.  Also the heaviest.
Construction details are in a link in the photo album.
Old Receiver as a Freq Monitor?25 Dec 2003 00:22 GMT4
Hi, I have an old Futaba wide band FM receiver that works. Can I use it to
monitor my freq. (ch 56)? I'm thinking of hooking up an old flight pack battery
and using a sevo output to a speaker so I can hear if anything is on my freq.
Will it work? TIA, Dan.

Sweet spot for LiPoly powered planes24 Dec 2003 22:01 GMT21
I checked in on the tail end of the other thread "LiPoly vs. Glow" with
some negative comments about electric powered planes. Basically for me
it was some sour grapes due to the high cost of my propoesd project.
Not all LiPoly powered planes are created equal.
"Sorry Tale" pas deaux24 Dec 2003 21:21 GMT12
Well it did put the cat among the pigeons.
Somebody did ask for full details, well I did state which mag I had clipped
the article from. My point was that, and I hate to state or question but is
this a lead of litigation imported from the US that we over here in the UK
wiring transmitter for FMS24 Dec 2003 18:54 GMT8
I downloaded the FMS program the other day and I really like it.  However,
I'm not pleased with the realism using just a keyboard and joystick.  I was
wondering if there is a way to wire an older AMA tested Airtronics tranny to
use with my USB port.  I know I can go buy the Real ...

water in glow fuel24 Dec 2003 15:58 GMT12
Did anyone read Joe Wagner's article in the January '04 'Model Aviation'
regarding water in glow fuel?
The "test" was done using a control line (non-throttled) engine.
Any opinions?

Calif earthquake24 Dec 2003 05:18 GMT5
I was working at my computer when I felt strange pulsing in my body, kind of
between my chair and back. I was unsure what was happening until I looked at
my 10 R/C planes hanging in the living room. All of them were swinging back
and forth, some as much as 6 inches. A long, gentle ...

I would like to know whether or not a significant amount of current is
Sanwa xtal in Hitec receiver24 Dec 2003 01:53 GMT12
Now, i'm a hypocrite. Just last week I advised against putting different
brand crystals into receivers... Now, I ordered a Hitec xtal for a plane &
receiver I bought second hand, which came without xtal, not wanting to wait
for delivery I have just shoved a Sanwa crystal into the ...

on some items just before Christmas.
Will they fall in January?
