FF9 Question04 Jan 2004 23:04 GMT4
Iam looking at trading in my SkySport  6 for an FF9 PCM.  I am aware that
the FF9 can be switched over to PPM from PCM modes.  The manual on the
futaba website also states that:
Any Futaba narrow band FM receiver (all produced after 1991) on the correct

Flying Schools04 Jan 2004 18:18 GMT8
Been flying about 1 and 1/2 years, and am almost proficient.  I solo'ed on
my .40 Trainer, and have moved up to a .60 high wing and a low wing.  Still
a little unsteady.  Problem is, the better instructors fly on the weekends,
when the field is pretty crowded.  So, it's difficult to ...
Glow Plugs04 Jan 2004 16:38 GMT31
I use OS 8 glow plugs.
How many flights do you expect to get out of a plug?
I tend to think that they are long lived little things, but I think I
have seen comments that they can fail quite quickly sometimes. The plug
How to fit gold connectors04 Jan 2004 15:17 GMT21
Had a look on the net, E-Zone etc. but can't find out how to fit 2mm gold
connectors. On the ones I bought, the male pin has a kind of concave curved
indent on the back end, am I supposed to solder to this? No instructions.
Many Thanks
Muliplex Micro-Jet is not good..04 Jan 2004 13:53 GMT3
Very disapointed to find out the hard way that the Multiplex Micro-Jet is
just made out of ordinary polystyrene and not EPP! Same price as an EPP
model only mine disintegrated following it's first launch after it didn't
gain enough speed an just clipped the ground on the level!!
Source of carbon fibre sheet?04 Jan 2004 13:32 GMT4
I am in the process of building the split flps on my 81" Spitfire but the
usual balsawood is just too flexible.  I have thought about skinning the
balsa with thin carbon sheet to stiffent the whole lot up.  Anyone know
ehere to get the carbon from?
Hitec - Futaba compatability03 Jan 2004 19:24 GMT8
Looked on ebay for a cheap Tx to use as a buddy box.
Next I checked Inwoods and found that I could get a new fully uptodate
Tx + trainer lead + postage for what it was going to cost for an older
version, unknown quality Tx off ebay..... hmmmmm !!!
Zenoah's v 4 strokes03 Jan 2004 17:26 GMT7
For some new year projects, I'm looking at building a couple of models in
the 1.20, 4 cycle category.
Was thinking of either Saito or O.S. but wondered how Zenoah 23's or 26's
might compare.
OS .46 FX03 Jan 2004 17:22 GMT18
This engine is going out of production.  Does anybody know what will replace it?
Hello, I'm a beginner!03 Jan 2004 17:06 GMT8
I'm seriously considering to spend some time with radio control
airplanes. I've been really impressed with what I've seen in Motors
cable tv-channel, it's amazing. My question is: what's the best way to
start? How much money will it cost? Thanks in advance,
Zagi alternatives?03 Jan 2004 14:41 GMT3
I've been flying a Zagi 400 for about two years now. It's getting pretty
ragged and I'd like to find something to replace it.  I've seen some posts
in the past about flying wings that are better than the Zagi.  I'd like
something that I could still use my 8-cell KAN950 packs in. ...
