"Fusion" paint09 Feb 2004 16:48 GMT3
Has anyone tried the Kylron Fusion paint as yet to see if it is fuel
proof.  Does anyone know a water base polyuratane that is fuel proof
at least to 10% nitro.  I have tried several and none are fuel proof.
Thanks
Futaba to PC trainer cable?09 Feb 2004 16:18 GMT2
After many years away I'm returning to the R/C hobby.  I'm looking for a
patch cable to plug my Futaba transmitter (round plug) into my PC
(serial or usb?) to get used to the controls again on a simulator before
heading out into the wild.
Excel-60 - still feasible...??09 Feb 2004 11:15 GMT1
Bought a(n original) Miniature Aircraft USA Excel 60 some 10(?) years ago
(+Webra Blackhead 60 motor, Sanwa non-Digital Heli-RC). Built-it. Wound it
up a few times, but never flown it. Just 're-discovered' the hardware in the
spare room. But now got kids, no time, and a wife that ...

frequency for ground AND air use?

Ziroli P-51 glass fuse09 Feb 2004 06:45 GMT10
Anyone build a Ziroli P-51 using the fiberglass fuse Nick sells ?
Curious about the tradeoffs between shortened building time and the
detail level obtainable, versus the longer build time and high detail
level from a built-up fuse.

Recovering Foamy08 Feb 2004 20:39 GMT5
Hi - my SAS Venom's looking a bit tatty(I don't do combat!) Is it easy to
take off the vinyl and bullet tape or will it pull chunks of foam off with
it?
Thanks,
airplane gyro08 Feb 2004 20:00 GMT5
Hello group,
I'm looking into buying a gyro to install on the rudder of one of my planes.
Anybody have experience with using a gyro on aircraft?  Any particular gyro
you would recommend?  I pretty much know what features are available on
STOLEN: R/C Slow Hawk Ornithopter08 Feb 2004 13:15 GMT3
A radio-controlled ornithopter (machine which flies with flapping wings) was
stolen from my car while parked near Watlington, Oxfordshire today (6
February 2004), between 2.30pm and 2.45pm. A window was smashed, and these
items were taken:
BMFA Newsletter came today.. and other reliable things08 Feb 2004 12:01 GMT13
I wasn't disappointed, as usual it was appalling. I make no such
generalisation about the good work the BMFA do for us, but at the same time
the newsletter deserves recognition. It is, well, excrutiatingly painful to
read. It has been one of life's little comforts for me. Just as ...
Recovering old model08 Feb 2004 11:57 GMT6
OK here is my situation, I have an old model which has been covered with
dope and tissue on the wings.  This isn't a problem and "should" be fairly
easy to remove. (if there are any tips here then let us know)
However the balsa fus has been finished using a lacquer or probably
Terrible Waste07 Feb 2004 16:22 GMT20
I was sent this link, regarding a plane that was chopped up by a chainsaw?
To an airplane nut, this looks like vandalism at its worst.  As there is no
byline included with this pic, does anyone know about this? publicity stunt
or..?
2 vs 3 blade props07 Feb 2004 15:58 GMT67
Hello group,
Here's the question;  Given similar size/pitch/rpm/etc. , which generates
more thrust, a 2 blade prop or a 3 blade?  (I already know to go down an
inch in diameter or pitch when changing from 2 to 3 blade prop).
