Buying from USA26 Feb 2004 21:03 GMT7
I need about 150GBP worth of servos (HS225MG and Futaba S3305) and I'm
tempted by the current exchange rate to get them from the US.  I would be
interested to hear from anyone who has done this recently, recommendations
as to who to buy from, cautionary tales etc.
Mixing Fuel26 Feb 2004 17:23 GMT2
I have been mixing my own fuel for a few years now however, it has become
impractical to buy the ingredients instead of just buying a gallon already
premixed or so it appears.  Does anyone have suggestions for 2 stroke oil
(that will mix with methanol)?  Cheapest I am finding is ...

Hi group,
Has anyone build a "motor-less" model yet? That is, one without the
conventional turbines or motors, using some kind of solid-state drive
system?
DIY servo wire and connectors?26 Feb 2004 13:51 GMT5
I was just wondering if anyone out there is making up their own custom
servo extensions for Futaba/JR/Hitec/Airtronics Z?  And if so, have
you found a good source for the 3 conductor servo wire, the plastic
male and female connectors, and the metal pins and sockets?  These

that project for my wife later this year, and she wants folding wings REALLY
badly.  <grin> TIA!

I'd just like to let you all know I am just about to issue divorce
proceedings against SWMBO.
I'd like to let you know because she won't talk to me - but I think I've got
a clear cut case and any sort of normal judge will probably transport her to

This is related to my other thread "need engine recommendation".   I

Lanier seabird 6025 Feb 2004 22:39 GMT1
Boy, if i had it to do over again I would have never purchased this kit.
The "instructions" horrible.   I already screwed up the pylon mount
fairing. I couldnt identify the parts from the plans. I cut up some
plastic strips to match what i saw on the plan and later found out the
Question: single-axis gyro in forward-swept flying wing(?)25 Feb 2004 22:24 GMT2

Bird-o-Prey series. Being extremely short coupled in pitch, it is very
'labor intensive' to fly. I've temporarily installed extended tail booms
