could recommend a trainer package to get a feel for things. I'm tempted to
buy one of these $200 kits at the hobby store but have a ...

Got one on the way from Tower.  In case anyone here has experience
with the ARF version of the SS40 MkII I'd like to hear about it.

Futaba Hi-Lo Rx20 Feb 2004 13:26 GMT3
Any comments.
The powers that be in NZ have decreed that all frequencies above
72.5mHz are no longer to be used here (conflict with R/c cranes, log
hawlers and rail shunting engines).
End soldered cells, disassembly?20 Feb 2004 02:25 GMT11
I have 4 packs of Sanyo 3000 mAh cells end soldered, 10 in series. I'm
replacing them with Li Poly batteries.
I would like to make them into 6 packs of 6 in series. The problem is
how to melt the solder between the cells without damaging the cells.

Hiya,
I've discovered that experience in covering a model is the only thing that
will lead to doing a decent job!
I've mounted the servos and covered the wings and flaps etc, all but the

I recently got a used R/C plane, and the the servo's start to move (all four of them) when the transmitter is turned on.
They all move at the same time on their own without anyone touching the transmitter. Now its not the transmitter, because I use the same one and frequency  for ...

Hoosier Hotshot Plans19 Feb 2004 16:44 GMT2
Back around 1974 or so, I built my first RC model, the "Hoosier Hotshot"
from Midwest Products Inc. Thirty years later, my nine year old son comes
across some pictures of me posing with the Hotshot and decides THIS is the
one he wants to build. Long since out of production, it was a ...
AMA and Porn sites19 Feb 2004 14:58 GMT38
Why is the AMA dealing with Porn peddlers?
I dropped by the AMA website and noticed their new "Auctions and
Classifieds" section redirects to RCUniverse.com.  RCUniverse.com is one
of the websites run by VLM Inc. out of New Jersey.  The other two I found
