OS Wankel12 Apr 2004 20:51 GMT3
I was presented with an OS Wankel as a Christmas present.
It is allegedly a .30 cu. in. capacity.
Can anyone tell me how it compares with a normal .30 two stroke in terms of
fuel consumption and the sort of model in which to install it?

Hi everyone... I just got in this group and had a quick question. I recently
got a Thunder Tiger GP40 engine from a friend, and I would like to get the
manual. Does anyone have a scan or copy they can send me? I think I have
found the correct exploded parts diagram for it, but I ...

Can anyone tell me what the Senior Telemaster wing rib profile is?  It
doesn't appear to be a simple Clake Y as I expected.  I just want to be
able to build a new wing by telling my computer program what ribs to
print and cut.

Hot Fuel Proof! What does that really mean? I have a plane that is entirely
sheeted in 1/32 balsa. I want to paint this plane in a sliver and Gold paint
scheme. The paint I have is exterior enamel. Nowhere on the can does it say
"Hot Fuel Proof". I painted a 3 X 6 piece of balsa ...

Fuel Revisited11 Apr 2004 23:35 GMT6
I ran across an article about using a couple % of acetone in fuel. Anyone
actually done this? After my LHS switched from 15% Nitro, castor/synthetic
blend to 15% Nitro, 18% straight synthetic, I have had to re-adjust
everything I have used it in. It may be a coincidence, but planes ...

YS 91 AC quitting11 Apr 2004 22:41 GMT3
I have a YS 91 and it is quitting on me randomly. I had this engine in another
plane and retired it, no crash.  I can see no bubbles in the fuel line and
after it quits, a back flip of the prop starts it right back up.  I am
stumped...  Any ideas here? Anyone with the same problem.  ...
IRVINE 5311 Apr 2004 22:36 GMT4
IRVINE 53. That is one sweet running engine. I don't know if other IRVINE
engines run like mine but this is the easiest starting engine I have ever
owned. I have owned , Enya, Super Tiger, OS and Fox. I am not saying the
other engines I have owned were not good engines. What I am ...
Flying Field in Los Angeles11 Apr 2004 19:40 GMT3
I am new to flying.  I built a tether control model and i am anxious
to try it out.  I went outside when it was finished and threw it with

Somethin' Extra tail supports11 Apr 2004 18:18 GMT8
I am currently finishing a Sig Somethin' Extra and am considering whether or
not to include the wire tail supports.  The tail section seems pretty
sturdy, and I would like to know if the tail supports are worth the effort.
Has anyone had any incidents of tail failure or flutter when ...
Right - Left - Your OTHER Right!11 Apr 2004 00:40 GMT15
I was asked to help a guy out with his plane, a Four Star 60 with a new
Saito 100. The plane had flown before, he swapped engines and radios. I
dialed in the engine and did a pre-flight, Up elevator, right rudder, Right
aileron. Everything fine, so he taxied out and flew the plane. ...
Are any of these RC planes good gifts for a newbie?11 Apr 2004 00:13 GMT5
I have a gift card good for use at the Discovery Store
(http://shopping.discovery.com) and was looking to perhaps pick up a
gift for my dad. He always wanted an RC plane when he was a kid and
never got one. They have a few models for sale and I'm wondering if
