Somethin' Extra antenna tube22 Apr 2004 18:35 GMT2
I just finished building a Sig Somethin' Extra kit.  Has anyone ever had any
problems with radio performance when running the antenna through the
internal antenna tube?  I usually like to run my antenna outside the fuse to
the tail. This also keeps the antenna from running parallel ...
Range check22 Apr 2004 17:32 GMT4
Been doing some range testing of several receivers of different
brands.
I set up Tx with aerial down in a situation where it has no influence
from metal or body parts and about a metre above ground, and then walk
cheap Sermos/APP connectors22 Apr 2004 14:14 GMT5
Do you know a cheap source of Sermos/APP connectors? Most places that I
checked charge $2.00 a pair. I contacted a local Anderson Products
dealer and they want $35 for a bag of 100 (all same color). I don't want
to buy two bags, so I'm wondering if you found a better source. I guess

I recall seeing an ad for tapered shims to adjust the engine thrust line
but I can't remember who makes them or where I saw the ad. Can anyone
help me out?

Charging a 12V gel cell22 Apr 2004 12:18 GMT31
Just setting up my field box (newbie who scored some bargains) and was
wondering what is the best way to charge the 12V gel cell? Not sure I'd want
to try the old car charger but I don't want to buy some special trickle
charger if it's nothing more than a standard 12V 300+ mA unit.
Ace Hobby AT-6 With A .049?22 Apr 2004 08:44 GMT2
Anybody out there had experience with the Ace Hobby's (Thunder Tiger)
AT-6 "Simple Series". I have a Norvel .049 RC I planned to use for it,
but after I opened the box Ace recommends the TT (of course) .074. It
looks like it will be a great little flyer. How has it flown for you?

Removing Oil from Soaked Balsa22 Apr 2004 03:38 GMT23
Good Morning.  I recently purchased a used trainer, and I noticed that
the MonoKote wasn't adhering to the bottom of the front of the fuselage
(beneath the engine bay).  I peeled the MonoKote off from this area, and
noticed that the whole bottom of the front was soaked in oil!  I ...
Kyosho Hype Coolfire 46  probs. Your experience?22 Apr 2004 01:09 GMT2
I do not get my coolfire adjusted properly.
Currently it runs with moderate power and makes a curious metallic
rattling noise when idle. I tried different combinations of
plugs/props/fuels, none giving satisfying results.

What actually happens aerodynamically?
Thanks.
