Cool Aviation Video Clips12 May 2004 03:03 GMT3
This site may have been posted here before, but the first I saw of it
was when a fellow RCer sent me the link the other day. If you do go
there be sure to check out "Oh my god!" (an out-take from a British
documentary) and "405-The Movie", both are very funny. There is an
Li Poly battery won't charge?11 May 2004 23:03 GMT5
This will be my 8th Li Poly battery, a Kokam 11.1 V, 1500 mAh 3 cells
in series. When I connected it to my Triton charger, the "end" signal
came on in about 3 seconds. The battery was initially checked at
11.52V and after connecting it to the charger  it read 11.62 V.
Common Sense 0, Murphy 111 May 2004 18:20 GMT37
Where has common sense gone ?  More correctly, why have pragmatism and
knowledge become obsolete ?
Case in point : fueling a model aircraft.
I read a "technical article" which recommended using an air pump to
Realflight Question11 May 2004 17:15 GMT2
I have realflight for my Nexstar. Just got a new radio (Futaba 6XAs) and the
trainer plug is round not square like what is at the end of the realflight
interlink USB cable. How do I get an adapter to get from the square male to
a round male trainer attachment?

the Spitfire Mk.IX, and P-51D:

I've not been able to get the site up since early evening yesterday. Is
it just me or is anyone else experiencing the same problem.

Is there a way to go back and look at all the replies to a posting

LASER ENGINES11 May 2004 01:29 GMT5
Good day all --
For all you Laser fans, I have an idle problem with my Laser .70 and
its carb. I just can't get it to idle for an extended period. It just slowly
gets richer and finally sneezes and quits -- obviously rich. I originally
SuperNova chargers10 May 2004 23:21 GMT2
Any comments on these, particularly the new 3000 model? Read all I could
find on the web and they seem the best way to go.
Will be ordering either one soon, unless I hear otherwise from the people
here.
FS or Trade RC Pop UP Trailer10 May 2004 22:44 GMT1
RC Trailer--Starcraft '78 Pop Up Trailer converted for RC Use. This is a
nice 8' long, 7 foot wide completely sealed trailer in very good condition. The
trailer can easily handle 4 planes up to 1/3 scale and probably a 40% on the
diagonal. It has 120V hookup and all benches, beds, ...
Electronic Ignition Project10 May 2004 19:36 GMT1
Sometime ago I saw a post (or maybe an article) on an electronic
construction project for a homebuilt electronic ignition module for a gas
conversion engine such as a Ryobi 31cc weed-whacker engine.  Can anyone
refer me to the right article or web site?
Number of posts10 May 2004 14:00 GMT10
I dropped out of rec.models.rc.air about a year ago - and have 'droppe
in' via RC Groups, Inc.
I noticed a tremendous drop in posts - RMRCA used to run 300+ posts
day - is it still doing that, but RCGroups, Inc. just doesn't carr

Bought a World Model Super Stunts ARF a while back and will be putting it
together soon.  Anything I should know about assembly or flying it?  Any
help will be appreciated.  I plan to put a Thunder Tiger Pro 46 on it.

fuel proofing advice09 May 2004 21:34 GMT3
Just about to fuelproof a model, and I picked up a can of fuelproofer at the
local model shop.
It says on the tin that the finish will be fuelproof one week after
application.
