Engine size for Goldberg Eagle04 May 2004 20:27 GMT8
I'm ready to buy my first trainer, and have narrowed choices down to a
Goldberg Eagle or Sig Kadet LT-40.  During my research, I have noticed
that some recommend outfitting the plane with a midsize engine while
others recommend opting for the largest engine available for your
Zenoah question04 May 2004 19:52 GMT7
Why are these engines recomended to run inverted ? My mates new one is
upright and we tried for ages today to get it going to no avail. My one is a
smaller version and inverted but starts real easy. Yep we did turn the fuzz
upside down but no hope.
FS or Trade RC Pop UP Trailer04 May 2004 17:24 GMT3
RC Giant Trailer--Starcraft '78 Pop Up Trailer converted for RC Use. This is a
nice 8' long, 7 foot wide completely sealed trailer in very good condition. The
trailer can easily handle 4 planes up to 1/3 scale and probably a 40% on the
diagonal. It has 120V hookup and all benches, ...

Sig Sealane review anyone?03 May 2004 20:14 GMT2
I am looking to buy the Sig Sealane and would like to read your
comments/thoughts about this plane. I plan to build the optional
landing gear for it to use from land also. I have an Irvine .53 that I
would use in it.
Recommendation on Fuel Proof Paint for Plastics03 May 2004 19:56 GMT2
I'm putting together a H-9 TEXAN AT-6 (or maybe I should say a SNJ
because it does have a Navy markings).  It comes with 9 cylinder
plastic motor shell that fits in the front of the cowl. It's a real
thin vaccum formed black styrene type material.

Charging 6EXA03 May 2004 13:21 GMT12
Hi - Can anyone tell me if it's possible to charge the 6EXA Tx from a
Supernova directly into the charge socket? In Andrew Gibbs book on the
S/nova he says that some Tx's have a "blocking diode" which prevents this. I
can't see anything in the instruction manual. It's a bit tricky ...

electric motor03 May 2004 12:10 GMT5
I am building my first electric powered model, and have a question about the
motor. It is an AXI motor and the drawing shows a lock collar on the rear
shaft [they furnish the lock collar], so it must be important. I really see
no reason for it unless it holds the shaft in the motor ...
