Petrol engine alternatives to Zenoah25 May 2004 23:01 GMT1
I am about to obtain a 45cc(ish) petrol engine for my Midwest Extra and
wondered if anyone had any experience with other manufacturers than Zenoah,
e.g.Fuji or MacKay?
Any thoughts appreciated.
Electric Flight question (TNP are you there ?)25 May 2004 22:53 GMT3
I am coming to the end of my build of the Howard Metcalf "Crossfire" and
I have a few questions about a possible power train.  My original
intention was to use a Graupner Speed 600 and a 1700mAh Sanyo pack and
the holes in the model have all been made to suit this,  however I sold
JR 378 Mode 1 & 2 swap?25 May 2004 20:18 GMT7
Hi again all,
Is it possible to change a JR378 from mode 1 to 2 or vice versa
easily?
Regards, Jeff.
Do-It-Yourself Decals25 May 2004 06:18 GMT13
I'd like to make custom decals and have a great scanner, inkjet printer and
a decal film kit.  All that's missing is the trained operator ...
I have several great decal sets to scale up or down, but here's the rub -
they all have a background color and I'm too lazy to cut them out.  ...
Prop for .20 airboat.25 May 2004 03:36 GMT2
Hey all,
I'm building an airboat from scratch for an OS 20FP.  Suggested prop size
recommended is a 9x4.  I'm wondering if an 8x6 three bladed prop would be
suitable for this?  Thanks,
First Flight25 May 2004 02:49 GMT4
This is my first plane.  I had no experience with any form of RC.  That
being said, here goes.
Yesterday, after taking plenty of time (about five months), I finally
finished building a Sig Rascal kit.  My son and I visited the local RC
Most "painless" way to get started with radio-controlled flight.25 May 2004 01:59 GMT9
Hello, all.  Recently I've been considering the idea of making my entrance into
the field of radio-controlled flight as painless as possible, and here is what
I have come up with:

Servo adjustment question25 May 2004 01:54 GMT5
I'm attaching my servos to the control surfaces on my glider.  There
is a servo in front of each aileron and a single servo connected to
both elevators on the vtail.
The directions for this plane (OK Models, Caloway) are very sparse.
Returning to the hobby, help needed.25 May 2004 00:48 GMT16
I've lurked for a while and a few of my questions seem to have been
answered but I have a few I'd like expert advice on.
The last time I was actively building RC aircraft models was over 20
years ago and I left because of the hassle of living in a big city and
How many batteries?25 May 2004 00:11 GMT9
I'm making out my next online order for rc stuff and was wondering how many
battery packs I should buy. I was thinking 4 so that I would always have
atleast 2 on standby. How many batteries do some of you carry to the flying
field with you?
JR 378 mode 1 to 2 swap24 May 2004 23:14 GMT1
Ok, I have swapped the throttle ratchet and spring / centring assembly
over on my 378. How do I now change modes on the transmitter itself to
change it from mode 1 to mode 2? I can't find anything in the manual
that mentions this but I'm told it can be done.

Zagi Upgrade - Don't Bother With This One24 May 2004 22:18 GMT6
I have a Zagi which flies okay on the supplied stock motor, gunther prop and
8 cell CP1300, but nothing special.
The whole idea of the Zagi is to have something cheap and cheerful to chuck
in the back of the car - so I don't want to sink a load of money into it.
field torn up update #224 May 2004 21:39 GMT14
I am really sorry that I started this whole debate.  Tell you what.  Gerald you
and I will tote the guns,  and Paul you and I can put down the 2x12 with the
spikes in it and CO you can sit back and watch your field torn up over and over
and be a do gooder with more time to ...
