I am having a go at setting up flapperons on my Tail dragger. I am doing it

I have a bone to pick with Tower Hobbies.
I have finished and flown a .40-sized electric conversion of a Tracer kit.
I will fly it on 6 of the Kokam 3-cell 1500 mAH packs arranged to provide a
6S3P pack.  Tower had a good price, so I ordered 19 packs, enough for 3

I have a 'leccy model that I am concerned about giving its maiden flight as
when the motor is running at full bore the range is somewhat reduced.
With the motor off I get an "aerial down" range of about 15yards
With the motor on I get an "aerial down" range of about 8yards

Wow, things have really come on haven't they? At least they seem to have.
Last time I took at glance at high performance lightweight electric flight
about a year ago the gear was hens teeth and when you could get hold of it
it was bloody expensive, now everyone's at it, Overlander ...
