Cutting Fiberglass?11 Jun 2004 03:59 GMT12
I need to cut the center section out of a large radial cowl, and enlarge the
opening in some fiberglass wheelpants.
I'd appreciate input on the best tool to use to get a good clean cut.  A
specific dremel bit perhaps?
Better wing covering?11 Jun 2004 01:18 GMT7
Have a wing I need to recover with film.
What I want to do is use a base colour, and then add two diagonal 6" wide
bars to each wing, to make it a little better looking than before.
Not too  sure how to go about this, as from what I've seen of bought wings,
Tips for Float flying11 Jun 2004 00:24 GMT5
I just installed a set of ARC floats on my NexStar.  Everything is balanced
and aligned.  It looks real nice.  However, I haven't flown off of water
yet.  I am a proficient flyer off of pavement and snow, and I'm a little
nervous taking off of water. I have some questions for float ...
On-Line Shopping - Shop Recommendations10 Jun 2004 22:36 GMT1
I recently came back into the hobby and with all the local model shops
having given up long ago found the web to be my new shop front. However it
seems not all shops are equal and I would be interested to hear from others
on how they have got on, especially when the shop does not ...

Engine Trouble10 Jun 2004 21:41 GMT14
Hi, haven't been on here for a while - haven't flown for a while. Anyway I
got my Acrowot out last weekend for some modifications, the carb was on a
level, possibly slightly lower than the fuel tank centre, and at idle or
when stopped there would be fuel dripping from the carb.

LiPo Discharge10 Jun 2004 13:08 GMT4
I've read that LiPo cells must not be discharged below 3.6 volts. Does this
refer to the open circuit voltage or the volts while supplying the load. Do
the cells recover if they are recharged in a matter of minutes or is their
demise immediate?

MotoCalc Help10 Jun 2004 08:36 GMT3
The wizard asks for a number of values, these are quite straight forward,
but one that is giving me some trouble, is that of the wing length and area.
If the wing is a standard rectangular shape both sides of the fuselage, but
it had Dihedral. Is the wing length measured from tip to ...
What charger? Your opinion?10 Jun 2004 07:54 GMT10
I'm considering replacing my Hobbico Accu-Cycle charger. I've had it for a
number of years and it has served me well. I have Ni-cad and Nimh batteries
in my planes and transmitters. With a little bit of battery knowledge and
the Accu-Cycle, I've had no battery problems. But, I'm ...
