Acadian RC06 Jun 2004 01:34 GMT1
Does anyone know what happened to them?  I haven't heard from Craig for a
number of years and I see that their web site is gone.  They were located in
a tiny town in the Gold Country of California where one of my uncles lived.

I left my rx & tx plugged in for 6 days on wall wart...what are the chances that I ruined them?
Engine position05 Jun 2004 19:16 GMT9
I have just ordered a Saito 4 stroke for my 1/6 Cub.
Is there any reason I shouldent  position the engine inverted. This would
give a more scale look.
However I do notice most engines are mounted on their side.
How can I draw plans from scratch?05 Jun 2004 17:52 GMT2
I would like to build a scale R/C Piaggio P166 Albatross from scratch.
The only reference I have is a bunch of photos and some 3-view drawings
that indicate the dimensions in centimetres.
Does anybody out there know of any plans for this a/c?  Should I have to
glow engines in carry on luggage?05 Jun 2004 13:40 GMT10
Has anyone taken glow engines on a plane before? I'm flying for an event and
have a couple engines I'd like to take with me, but not if I'm going to run
into trouble at the airport.
Anyone had any experience with the Vmar line of ARFs?05 Jun 2004 13:36 GMT8
I'm considering purchasing a new Vmar Arrow Tiger 46/52 ARF from an online
retailer.  Would be interested in hearing from anyone who has experience
with their planes ie, quality/durability.
Thanks in advance!
Batteries for Starter05 Jun 2004 13:26 GMT7
I have a pack of 10 NiCad's attached to my starter making it self
contained. It's time to replace the batteries. They are sub C's.
The question is whether I should look at other than NiCad's?
Which magazine ?04 Jun 2004 20:10 GMT10
I am looking for suggestions for an RC magazine.
My subscription to FLYRC is over and I am disinclined
to renew as it does not fit my needs. 80% of that magazine
is "reviews" which I view as advertisments.

Which would be the better fuel to use a 15% Synthetic or a 15% Synthetic
Castor Blend
Plane Kit Reviews?04 Jun 2004 12:03 GMT3
Was wondering if anyone knows of any web sites or news groups that feature kit
reviews of planes, especially balsa and tissue airplanes.
Thanks.

AMA dues history04 Jun 2004 07:11 GMT12
I'm trying to do a little amateur statistical analysis on the future trend
of AMA dues.  Can anyone tell me the years and the new dues rates since
about 1980 or so?  I know that when I joined about 10 years ago the dues
were in the 35-to-40 dollar range, but I don't have exact ...

Pitts Special C of G04 Jun 2004 00:33 GMT1
I have a Pitts Special that I have inherited but I don't know what the C of
G is for it.  This model has an 79.5" upper wing span and is approximately a
40% scale model.  It is a very well done in the Holiday Inn Aerobatic Team
colors.  It was built from plans but I don't know who ...
Painting a Runway Centerline03 Jun 2004 22:50 GMT10
We paint a centerline on our grass runway but as you can imagine it
has to be renewed every couple of months.  We are looking for
suggestions (serious) on how to make a more permanent
centerline....short of paving and painting.
Looking for a recommendation for a Pitts Special kit.03 Jun 2004 19:16 GMT7
I am thinking about building a model of the Pitts Special and was
wondering if any of you have a recommendation for a kit.  I was
thinking about something in the .90 to 1.20 range that I could put a 4
stroker in.  My plan right now is to build it as a scale of the Telex
