electrics a few years ago. The fire started in the hobby room. House was
fully involved when the trucks rolled up. A friend who works for the Fire

What battery???16 Jun 2004 00:26 GMT7
Have just built an aircraft and it was suggested by a club member that I use
a Speed 600 for the motor.
this I did and it did fly but did not climb very well, so after they had a
look at my power pack it was suggested I use a 7 cell 8.4v 2000 Sanyo type.

X347 JR radio Radio shows "back-up fault" when switched on and all memories
are gone so I guess it is the back-up battery/cell that has gone duff.Anyone
know what size cell, and how to access and change it? TY
Middle Phase Ailerons15 Jun 2004 13:22 GMT4
Hi - Building my first aileron model,Middle Phase2. I'm having trouble
working out how the aileron linkages are connected to the servo and wing. I
would normally ask to look at one on the slope but as I broke my foot up
there(!) on Saturday  I'm on crutches for several weeks.
ZDZ 40RV Problems15 Jun 2004 13:08 GMT9
I have a problem where the engine will not run correctly.  It will for
example run up to full throttle if you go there slowly, and it runs solid
at that speed.  It idles good with no problems, and anywhere in between as
long as you go slowly.  I had a problem a week or so ago when ...

Hey guys, I am looking for information from as many clubs as possible as to
what your clubs maximum engine/prop noise levels are.
Our club maximum noise level is 88 dbA @ 7m (~23 feet) over grass.
Send me an email or a reply to the group would be great.
Pusher prop, does it differ from tractor prop?15 Jun 2004 03:31 GMT23
I want to scratch build an electric plane with a pusher  prop. I was
told that I need a special pusher prop, but I can't find any locally.
Why is it not good to use a regular prop turned backwards and have the
motor reversed in rotation?

Applying Decals?14 Jun 2004 18:08 GMT2
Hello, I am applying some letter decals to my new plane. They are the three
layer type. A cover sheet, a backing sheet and the decals in the middle. I'm

Airtronics RD8000 Throttle Stick14 Jun 2004 18:05 GMT1
Anyone know how to get the "ratcheted" throttle stick on the RD8000? Mine
doesn't, and although I've been flying with it this way, I think I'd prefer
to have the old way I'm accustomed to. I've been told it's maybe that way
for heli, which I'm not flying. Is there an adjustment or a ...
