I flew my Fly'n King with a banner last week. Boy, did it work great.
The tow point recommended by Bruce Tharp was perfect, right behind the
trailing edge of the wing, centered on the fuselage. I made the banner
according to the design on Allen Tong's website, worked the first

Today's been a great days flying with some nice warm sunhine breaking
through on our flying field. I'm looking for the recomended C o G  on the
Magnum R bought one second hand and positioned 25% but it is unresponsive to
elevator especially at dead stick and won't high alpha on ...

burnt out speed control when prop is blocked...31 Jul 2004 12:39 GMT12
My plane flipped over and the prop hit the ground staying a few
seconds locked with 1/2 throttle. When I finally releases the prop,
noticed the speed control had burnt out! Shouldnt the speed contls
come with any sort of protection to avoid?

I *may* have settled on a radio.  Remember, I'm a new with a focus on

     I just purchased the August/September issue of Backyard Flyer and on page
39 there is an advertisement for two ready to fly aircraft the Predator 280
"new" and the T-Hawk 380.

I'm just finishing up assembly of an Ultra Stick 60.  I'm using an OS
61FX and(Probably temporary) and seem to be way nose heavy.  I located
the battery just forward of the vertical fin but find I need more

A pal has just obtained a near mint OS60RF engine, the pumped one. Trouble is
it has no manifold or muffler. He's just looking for the manifold this time
as he plans on using a pitts style muffler with a flexible joint from the
manifold.

Does anyone know of someone that sells parts for older airplane engines.
Parts like heads, crankcases etc? I remember someone sold parts and I got
them through this news group.
