Another electric disaster22 Jul 2004 20:05 GMT2
Built a Galaxy AeroJet 540, stuck in a Ripmax LightSpeed 600, 7xRC2000 with
Graupner 8x4 slim prop. Not enough power to fly, tip stalled and completely
wrecked the fuselage. Rebuilt it, gave it a rudder and trike undercarriage
with an OS25LA up front. Result: fast, quiet, aerobatic ...
Slowness in Messages being posted.22 Jul 2004 18:03 GMT6
I use other sites purely because messages are posted immediately.  A
very good example of this being RCModelFlyers.  Has anyone else
pointed this out to google?  This potentially could be loosing them
alot of members and trade.

Retracts for Dynaflite Chipmunk?22 Jul 2004 09:32 GMT9
I just bought a Dynaflite DeHavilland Chipmunk (89" wingspan, 25cc gas).
Its a nice looking kit - looking forward to building.  I don't know (and
frankly dont care) whether the full-scale plane had them or not, but I'm
sure the model will look and fly much nicer with retracts.  ...

This is with my solar  powered RC plane.
Specifics:
I'm using standard 6M RC gear from JR on ch 04, FM on 50.880 Mhz.

Birch Plywood bending radius21 Jul 2004 19:38 GMT5
I'm not an RC modeller but need to use some of the thin birch plywood on
a woodworking project.  I have never had my hands on this stuff and
will have to mail-order since it isn't available locally.
What I am trying to do is get a feel for the typical allowable bending

chance, too.

Corflute (correx) style flying wings21 Jul 2004 13:43 GMT4
I'm considering building a Zagi style flying wing for electrification and
or slope. There seems to be a few styles built in differing materials. I
can appreciate those with one or the other will think there's is the best,
but I'm after a little judgement from those who have or have ...

Well done everyone, the 35 mhz Beyblades have been removed from sale. I was
amazed at the level of response and delighted at the result. Cheers.

It just flew away!21 Jul 2004 01:03 GMT12
Eight years ago I flew an R/C Piper Cub that took me about five months to get built.
(not my first R/C plane)
Got four flights on it ... then battery went dead...plane flew off into sunset.
Last week I got call from a farmer 26 miles away, said he found a small plane with my AMA ...
