Building boards07 Aug 2004 06:29 GMT18
Has anyone here ever used a small section of sheetrock as
a disposable building board?  It strikes me as not only
inexpensive, but also very flat if properly supported on a
bench.

Berg 5 DSP-II receiver and sticky antenna problem06 Aug 2004 20:49 GMT8
I wanted to replace my Hitec 555 (ch.58) on my speed 400 glider with a
smaller receiver. I got the Berg and a sticky antenna. To my suprise,
when range checking, I could get away only 20 paces before Berg's servo
hold started activating (this was with motor off). Berg has a ...

Circuit for turning on a switch w/o a servo?06 Aug 2004 06:32 GMT6
Anybody aware of a circuit online somewhere that would be plugged into
a receiver as if it were a servo, and would complete a circuit when
the stick is moved to one side?  An added bonus would be to have two
cicruits, one completed when the stick is on one side, and the other

I get?? A glider, power glider or full powered plane?  Any other

Need Instructions for J&C Funbat05 Aug 2004 23:59 GMT4
I have a kit of this model, but can't find the instructions.  If you have one
and could email the instructions or scan and send them, or copy and mail them,
it would be a great help to me.
Best type of lightweight resin?05 Aug 2004 23:14 GMT7
I'm trying to find the best kind of resin (weight/strength) to glass a foam
electric plane. I was going to use fibretech's water based resin but I hear
now that won't be as durable as epoxy.
I'm thinking epoxy may be quite a bit heavier, and heard of people in the
JR388 lithium battery replacement05 Aug 2004 03:19 GMT1
I have changed the lithium battery in my radio.I added wires and a
battery holder which sits behind the circuit board in foam(much better
than pulling the front off to replace the springs. When I 1st turned
it on it was dead, so I tried holding down buttons and turning it on.

Model Suggestions please05 Aug 2004 01:16 GMT1
OK, so Onetel news postings now work, after a couple of weeks of trying,
them saying there's nothing wrong, and me not changing anything. Aaarrgghh
Anyway, I'm looking for suggestions for a reasonable quality scale ARF,
preferably warbird (not aerobat/Cap/Extra type) to take a ...
A couple of questions regarding finishing foam/polystyrene models05 Aug 2004 00:19 GMT7
I've just put together a GWS artf spitfire kit, it's all polystyrene
construction, and very nice and easy to build. The lines of it look nice
also, they've stayed very true to the original plane's proportions.
However, something that was disappointing (although not surprising) was ...

Second Plane recommendation?04 Aug 2004 22:47 GMT7
My GWS beaver is on it's way and I'm looking forward to shaking off the
cobwebs that have accumulated over the years with it.
I used to fly power (always prefereed the smaller stuff) but I've been away
for almost 8 years now :(  Coming back to the hobby, I was glad to discover
