Disgusting04 Aug 2004 17:36 GMT56
I have been out of the hobby for 8 years, and thought I'd stop by my old
club to see what was going on.  I saw the same hackers with way too much
money and no skill level with their ten thousand dollar T.O.C. planes trying
to hover twenty feet off of the deck.

A limited range of these old planes has now become available again.  I
wonder if anyone can recommend the usable engine range.
I know that the nominal size is 25.  I've read old reports that examples
fitted with the plain bearing, ringed OS 25 FP were very fast.

The permax has a metal band around it  - is this a flux ring,? - and if so
will it make a performance difference removing it? Obviously weight will
reduce.

speed 600 and alienator03 Aug 2004 23:45 GMT1
I have "acquired" a boxed, new alienator (ripmax). I already have a Permax
600 (7.2v) motor.
As the recommended motor size is a 600, I am assuming that this maybe refers
to the "standard" graupner style 600 can, and I think this is maybe a
Shallow AMA members/complainers03 Aug 2004 23:20 GMT47
I have been a member of the AMA off and on for 30+ years.  I used to think it
was just for the insurance.  And did up until about 3-4 years ago.  If you read
up what goes on in the AMA you will find out that there is much more than you
think. It seems to me that the ones who do the ...
