C of G Balance Question re. Seagull Boomerang Trainer ?21 Aug 2004 21:06 GMT1
Hi Guys...
I've just finished putting together a Seagull Boomerang trainer plane and am
seeking a little advice regarding balancing it.
The manual states that the C-of-G is 8.5cm back from the front of the wings
first slinger flight, lot of fun.21 Aug 2004 19:25 GMT9
I just got back from the first flight of the electric Slinger.  First time
I've flown anything in 15 years.  It was exciting enough, with 20 mph wind
gusts to contend with.  I managed to land it in a tree, but it survived
without noticable deterioration.

I have the chance to purchase a Kyosho Gee Bee ARF (still in box) from a
fellow R/C club member for just under $200.  So I have two questions:
1. I think this is a really cool looking plane...but my question is, how
well does the GEE BEE fly?
lipolys- anybody run them out?21 Aug 2004 09:26 GMT2
Regarding the lithium poly batteries, anybody have first hand experience
with how many cycles they will take. Am curious as to the respective cycles
the various battery chemistries will take before they're trashed.   Pat

CG for rectangular flying wing?20 Aug 2004 10:28 GMT8
Does anyone know how to calculate where the CG should be for a rectangular
flying wing?  I am very interested in building something like the old
Scimitar series.  Basically a rectangular wing on a box fuselage with only
a trailing vertical stabilizer - like this:

OS .40 Max FP Adjustment20 Aug 2004 01:47 GMT17
I've got an old OS .40 Max FP from about 1992 that's never been run.  It has
three adjustment screws on the carb.  The main setting screw is large and
"clicks" like the newer OS engines do when it's adjusted.  The other two are
smaller and just have springs pressing against them ...
Range testing a Field Force 7 ?19 Aug 2004 22:32 GMT1
Just bought a second hand Field Force 7 outfit and have a question on
range testing it. I have a Futaba 6EXA outfit which has the aerial
fixed in place with a short stub out of the transmitter. This does a
ground range test fine with the aerial down as far as it will go.

What is the maximum battery temperature you should allow your NiCad or Ni-MH
battery to get to when charging or discharging?  Thanks.
Zenoah G-23 Help19 Aug 2004 19:09 GMT5
I have a Zenoah G-23, less than 2 hours on it.  Ran ok until yesterday.  Now it
primes well, fires, runs out the prime, and quits.  Carb has been rebuilt.
I've been advised to change plugs from the NGK that came with it.  What should
I use?  Suggestions?  TIA!
