Joining wings16 Aug 2004 22:21 GMT4
I am a newish scratch builder and would like to know how I could join a
split main wing at the fuselage (low & high wing) for 40 to 60 sized
aircraft. The split main wing concept is necessitated due to transport
limitations.
"Dopey" question16 Aug 2004 20:18 GMT6

What can be used  ?
Is it "light fast"  ?
Do I just buy coloured tissue instead  ?
CyA Hinges Failing?16 Aug 2004 14:20 GMT32
I just found that several of my CyA type aileron hinges have failed.  The
hinges did not pull free; they actually split in two across the hinge line.
The ailerons were set with a 1/32" gap and were fully gap sealed.  Each
aileron has its own servo, and each pushrod was only 4" long ...
Missing Covering Iron Knob16 Aug 2004 05:51 GMT5
I am just getting back into R/C. A week ago, after twenty years, I
pulled out my Top Flite covering iron and the knob is missing. Right now I
am using a large, long shafted screwdriver that makes it hard making small
adjustments to get accurate Coverite thermometer readings.

I recently fired up a new/old Magnum XL30 four stroke (I've had it for two
years but just getting to use it). I remember seeing something here about
needle valve problems with this engine, but can't seem to find it. Can anyone
out there help me to find this information, or give me ...

I was given a 4.8v battery pack which is made up from 4 AAA Toshiba

Identity of old airplane15 Aug 2004 07:29 GMT23
I'm looking for plans or a kit to build a model of the plane I first flew in.
Back in the late '40's I took my first airplane ride in a fabric covered tail
dragger.  It was two place, tandem seating, hand propped, no electrical, stick
and rudder and was a blast to fly even at 65 mph ...

Anyone know where I can get that prismatic reflective tape that guys use on
their thermal gliders? Either tape or stickers will work. Tried both Tower
and Hobby Lobby without success. Would think Hobby Lobby would have it!
TIA

Greetings, I've been out of RC for a while but am slowly getting back into
it.
This has probably been been covered but the answer isn't obvious if it has.
I'm awaiting delivery of a speed 400 plane, it runs on a 9.6v 8 cell nimh,
