On line stores07 Sep 2004 23:24 GMT2
A short while ago someone asked about online stores for model aircraft bits
and bobs. I didn't reply at the time as most of the suppliers that I use
were mentioned and there was nothing to add.
This week I have had outstanding service from an online supplier (far beyond

Li-Ion / Li-Poly charging07 Sep 2004 16:12 GMT5
I have a "Hobbico Quick Field Charger Mk II".  The ads and the guy in
the hobby store said it was OK for Li-poly, but the instructions that
come with it mention only Li-ion and suggest (without being very
explicit) that it may not be suitable for other types of Li cells.
New York shops07 Sep 2004 11:39 GMT4
I've crashed  and burned all my computer settings and favourites. Amongst
them was a link via Bumpy Green to someone's site detailing good shops in
New York. I'm after a particular one in the Bronx, however the whole site
had good references.

I apologise for this not being quite on topic but it's semi related (I

Saw a Freebird ornithopter flying at the Nats and was mightily impressed.
The chap said that plans are available online, but I can't find them. Anyone

Why doesn't the AMA pursue new RC radios?05 Sep 2004 04:45 GMT17
This past month a Jet Rally was cancelled early in the event when the
discovered there was multi channel random radio interference.  A very
expensive turbine went in and the suspect was interference.  In the past
two weeks a serious injury to a fellow flyer of a TOC quality gasser,
Video & aircraft?05 Sep 2004 04:24 GMT4
After a 6year break from flying (photography took over my life) I am now
thinking of returning to the hobby. I have a middle phase 2 & a part
built(90%) mustang with a 48 up front & retracts. I'm really looking for a
60/75 size aircraft that will take my Panasonic MVDX300 3ccd video ...
