Western Magnum - what engine?14 Sep 2004 18:07 GMT7
Covered in part in my earlier post about prop size but what do you all

There's no way my son can afford the proper West+Genesis pipe, he got
the bare, built plane off Ebay but without the engine. So far we have

10x8 on a .50?14 Sep 2004 01:02 GMT12
I'm running an OS 50 SX-H in one of my planes and I've got a bunch of 10x8
props hanging around.  I've been using 11x7's and they seem to work fine but
would like to use these other props.  Are the 10x8's too small to run with
this engine?
Great Planes PT-40 wing modification13 Sep 2004 22:25 GMT11
HI.  I'm a newbie to flying and this is my first kit.  I've been
talking to some local flyers about my kit (waiting on FedEx to get

The locals are suggesting that I build the wing with no more than 2
J3 Piper Cub Observation A/C13 Sep 2004 21:37 GMT2
Does anyone know if any early J3 Piper Cub aircraft purchased by the
Army were built and tested using an olive drab color scheme but
without the extra overhead and aft windows?  In other words, like the
basic Cub but with the olive drab color scheme and with Army/Air Force

Stall in Tight Turn13 Sep 2004 15:25 GMT7
I'm flying an old HB PDP .61 engine with the "Perry" style carb.  It's
starting to stall in really tight turns at any angle, up, down, etc.  Any
ideas on what could cause it and what to check?
Thanks,

do they give the same current out put. For example two identical boat's, one
with NiCad's and the other with Li Poly's, which one ...
