I have been tasked with the pleasant job of finding an appropriate
starter airplane for my nephew (12 years old) for Christmas.  I fly
all sorts of gas and electric models but know nothing about the new
crop of less expensive RTF electrics out on the market.  So I (think

Servos for DP Ultimate 4016 Nov 2004 16:17 GMT2
I've had a Dave Patrick Ultimate 40 ARF sitting in the basement for a couple
of years now, and I think I'm finally going to break down and build it this
winter.  The manual says any servo with 45 oz-in torque will work fine.
What would some of the august members of this group ...
A fun little plane.16 Nov 2004 14:51 GMT4
Here's one I've been playing with lately. The Clancey Baby Bee. I bought it

like that for a week or so I attached an MP Jet brushless motor with
gearbox. ($49.00). It's a bit stronger than a speed 400.  It ...

Does anyone know of a source for plans or a 3 view of the 1934 Supermarine
Type 224, the forerunner of the famous Spitfire?
It was a low wing, gull wing monoplane with fixed landing gear.

Looking specifically for the construction article for the Anderson
Kingfisher.  Will purchase if available or would accept a scanned
article with pictures if someone wishes to take the time.

Newbie looking for advice15 Nov 2004 15:46 GMT8
I have a friend who flies a real Robin DR400-120 airplane and would
like to give him a RC model version of the airplane as a gift.

flying wing15 Nov 2004 14:54 GMT2
What German company made the first flight of the jet powered wing and
eventually lost one engine, spiraled into the ground. No rudder to
compensate .  Saw it on History channel. It took off on a cradle that
never left the ground. Was it Horton??? Amazing.
