Servo Configuration in Bipe10 Nov 2004 08:31 GMT2
I just got my first Bipe which has individual servos for each of the four
ailerons.  The new Sig Sundancer.
Sig recommends 70+ oz servos, so I am going with some Futuba digitals
(S9451).
New radio freq??09 Nov 2004 17:34 GMT7
I just read in a r/c mag. about a new radio in the 14 mhz band. Did I
read it wrong? Is it limited to vy short range? It might be a problem
because the 20 meter band if very popular choice for hams. Maybe it was
a typo.
Wearing leather gloves while adjusting engine09 Nov 2004 16:04 GMT30
I finally got my refurbished Enya 15-4 fired up the other day (just in
time to put it in Winter storage -- the temp this morning was 27).
While adjusting the needle valve, I couldn't help but notice how close
my fingers were to the prop. The point was driven home a minute later
Questions about assembly of old Top-Flite p-40 kit.09 Nov 2004 12:54 GMT6
I'm assembling the old Top Flite P-40 kit from the early 80's, number
RC-17. I'm missing the manual and some of the parts -- the parts I've
fabricated, but the manual is, obviously, gone for good. That said, I
have a couple of questions about the kit that I was hoping someone
EPP foamie and getting a decal to stick09 Nov 2004 02:39 GMT3
I'm putting together a EPP foamie "Pigi" from Hobby Lobby, and being in
Arkansas, thought it'd be neat to have some Arkansas Razorback Hawg eblems
(bumper stickers) in a few places.  Ordered the decals (shipping cost more
than the decals!) and snipped off a corner piece to see if ...

Jett Eng. In-cowl muffler08 Nov 2004 19:03 GMT4
Anyone tried a Jett Engineering in-cowl muffler?  I would like to try one
with an OS91 FX.  I have an app where I don't want to hack up the front of
the plane and the cowl to make a traditional muffler fit.  Their site
http://www.jettengineering.com/accy/turbo.html  indicates ...

Need help id-ing missing part from Magnum Pro 4508 Nov 2004 16:35 GMT8
My Magnum Pro .45 is missing a part of the carb, and I was hoping
someone could help me identify it.
On the top of the carb, on the right hand side (above the needle
valve) is a threaded hole. I have absolutely no idea what goes there.
Thumbs vs. Fingers08 Nov 2004 15:40 GMT26
I learned to fly mode 2 many years ago using thumbs only on the sticks which
I suspect is the technique employed by most flyers. However, I'm now
considering switching to the index finger and thumb method which requires a
Tx tray. I've tried it with a Tx strap but didn't feel ...
