House Paint for Models07 Jan 2005 17:28 GMT9
I'm having a heck of a time trying to find paint for a semi-scale P51
for my airbrush.  I used to go to the LHS before I moved now the LHS
doesn't carry paint.  Even emails to Perfect Paint are unanswered.
I seem to remember a thread here where someone went to the local Home

I'm considering buying a Dave Smith "Smart Move Ex" model but I want to

much of a pain it was ?
Alternatively if you built yours with the standard gear I'd still be

Anybody out in cyberspace built this plane and able to tell me about their experience? There are two manufacturers who appear to be marketing a 1/5th scale corsair, Meister and Ziroli. The Meister's ws is almost 10" more than the Ziroli. How do more experienced builders feel this ...
Anyone have experience with these planes?06 Jan 2005 16:06 GMT5
I've been looking to add to the collection and to get into what will be
my first aileron plane.
I found the Potensky Eagle and Cobra out there on the web and they seem
quite interesting to me as a trainer / first plane of that class.

I have an 8 year old grandson that has taken a sudden interest in flying.
I'm looking for the best value as a starter plane for hime.  I'll be there
to help him til he solo's but then he'll, for the most part, be on his own.
I guess what I'm looking for is something rugged, ...
Control surface removal06 Jan 2005 06:15 GMT14
I have a plane that I want to recover.  To do the job properly will
require removal of the control surfaces, which are attached with CA
hinges.  The problem is that I don't know how to disassemble them and
still be able to reattach the surfaces with the hinges in the same
new evolution .61/Alpha trainer dude06 Jan 2005 00:11 GMT7

under the tree.  This is my first glow powered aircraft, though I've
been flying gliders for a few years.  I put it on the bench in the
garage and it would not fire up.  It would run for one second then
