Lithium cell balancing12 Feb 2005 13:22 GMT2
Multicell lithium battery packs can, theoretically, become unbalanced after
repeated use. Does this occur in practice. I understand that it is possible
for the highest voltage cell to become overcharged and damaged. Tapped cells
are available with balancer units to prevent this ...

NOTAMS and RC Aircraft12 Feb 2005 06:03 GMT55
Big Brother has issued a NOTAM that, in addition to other forms of aircraft,
specifically addresses radio controlled aircraft, in its ban of aircraft in the
vicinity of Jacksonville, FL during the super bowl next weekend.
We, as a group, need to be vigilant in Brother's encroachment ...

OS FS-90 manual11 Feb 2005 22:33 GMT3
Anyone have a copy of an OS FS-90 instruction manual that they are
willing to share? Lost mine somehow, or maybe I just forgot about that
special place I where I left it(senior CRS syndrome).  Anyhow, I'll
remember the doner in my will (LOL).

scanning plans11 Feb 2005 01:34 GMT36
Just had a pleasant surprise, I had 2 sheets of plans about 30 x 42" scanned
for 1$ a sheet, then burned onto a cd  as .gif files for $15. The disk would
have held dozens more, but I only needed the 2 sheets. This at Repro
Specialties in Baltimore, Md. but I am sure there are ...
HS-55 servos: new equivilent favorite?10 Feb 2005 16:19 GMT6
I picked up an electric 3D parkflyer recently, and need to get it
built.  The general size of the plane calls for Hitec HS-55 Feather
servos or so.  They're fragile little servos, but I want it light, so
... I just need to try and not crash it too often :)
Poor running Saito 6510 Feb 2005 08:59 GMT1
Got a Saito 65 in a World Models Spitfire mounted inverted.
Starts & ticks over fine but cannot find a needle setting to prevent it
fading and stopping at the top end.
Used to be OK.

New big Black Horse CAP 232?08 Feb 2005 22:32 GMT6
Anyone seen the new Black Horse CAP 232 model.  About 80" WS and quite nicely
made from what I can see.  Price is less than £200 UKP.  Haven't seen it for
sale anywhere else yet.  They are apparently making a Sukhoi and a Katana and
possibly an Extra in the same format.
