As the rebuild went on (new crank case) iv found the brass collet on the thrust washer really tight in going back on the prop shaft. tried to push it on by using the prop and the nut but im now wondering if you need to knock the collet out first and then force

I inherited this when a friend of the family passed away. It might just be a totally custom built biplane, but it may also be from a kit. I expect that it's from the 60's. It's all wood with skin stretched over the frame.
