JR PCM9X Throttle Curve22 Jun 2005 22:51 GMT1
Can anyone explain to me the meanings of some of the more obscure functions
in the Throttle Curve setting menu on my PCM9X?
The instructions are useless!
I understand the graph on the right of the display, along with the 7
GWS charger question(s)22 Jun 2005 21:39 GMT1
Just bought a GWS MC 2002 field charger and would like some advice
please. I've fitted 2 leads to it, one with a normal battery plug and
another with the transmitter plug on  - both Futaba. When I plug a rx
battery in it works fine. Do you set the dial so that it sits on the
Fuel tank position22 Jun 2005 16:29 GMT3
I reckon the answer is going to be yes !
Is a fuel tank positioned 4 inches behind a small engine too far away ?
I can cut the firewall so that the tank protrudes into the engine bay,
and then seal around it.
Anybody put together a F-27 Stryker that wasn't RTF?22 Jun 2005 14:57 GMT4
I am thinking about making my next project a Parkzone F-27, built from
parts not an RTF.  Anybody done this?  I think that I have found all
of the parts I will need.  What am I missing?

Saito 4022 Jun 2005 00:18 GMT4
Every once and a while my saito 40 stops in mid flight. Five minutes into
the flight it stops dead.
When I restarted it about ten minutes later I had to turn the engine over
several revs with the electric starter. Usually it would start on the first
Looking for kit or plans for Supermarine S521 Jun 2005 20:15 GMT1
Anyone aware of a kit for this sea plane or know where plans can be
obtained?  I'm interested in building a larger model... (wingspan 60" or
larger)
Thanks.
Hobbico "Nexstar"21 Jun 2005 19:32 GMT3
Has anyone flown this model? I'm looking to get into the hobby and I believe
this to be a good trainer. Please let me know if you have any comments
conerning this plane.
Thanks,

Electric airplanes:  Horsefly21 Jun 2005 08:58 GMT2
Has anyone built or flown the design from "Fly RC" plans,  circa New
Year's '05,  called "Horsefly"?   It is a generic 1920's barnstormer for
indoor electric power.  34 inch span, 485 square inches, 8 oz,  GWS
IPS-DX2BB motor,  elevator/rudder.    If you have flown one please ...
Flying on 27 Mhz???20 Jun 2005 23:33 GMT2
Although I have not flown on 27 mhz for many years, I have gone back
to using these channels.  Some of my older 53 mhz radios are getting
hit so bad at our field that I started getting some of my older 27 mhz
gear out and checking it out.  I have a few Futaba 5UAF and  7UAF
Starting out soaring?20 Jun 2005 20:06 GMT12
I was watching some flyers on a local hill soaring the ridge lift
(Folkestone, Kent) and have been perusing some of the "all in one box"
planes currently on Ebay. Little electric motor to get to altitude, then
unpowered soaring....
Futaba servos20 Jun 2005 20:00 GMT5
I have asked a few of the club members on a few occasions why the hell
did futaba change the lugs on the servos to those stupid rubber strips
that fall off or twist as you do the screws up. I cut a gap in between
the holes the other night and fitted the old style gromets that dont ...
Wing section20 Jun 2005 19:32 GMT5
On my other lazer arrow it has a "Jett" 50 engine which is way overboard
for the wing section as it brick walls in flight quite violent to the
point of being too dangerous at full throttle.
Im now wondering if changing the leading edge to a sharper form will
Servo Rail Question20 Jun 2005 14:32 GMT4
Good Evening.  I just purchased a used airplane (airframe only), and
when I got it home I quickly found out that I will have to do some
serious modifications to the plane in order to fly it with the radio and
engine equipment I have.  One thing I noticed is that the wooden servo
