Sorry for the 'newbie' question ... I'm thinking about getting an
R/C trainer (ARF or RTF.)  I've seen those electric "park-flyer"
models, but the short flight-time and long recharge-time don't
satisfy me.  What is the typical flight-time for a 2-stroke R/C

The six meter band has been having sporadic E openings lately. Worked
lots of grid squares. Anyone noticed that it seems  someone else is
flying your airplane while on 6 meters?

At the LMA big five recently at Longhorsley ')5 one cheeky chap is reported
to have ducked under the crowd barrier rope and proceeded to the Flight line
unchecked. Standing next to a leading figure of the LMA he asked for a fly,
he was given the transmitter to a large B17 for ...

I'm making a PSS model of a 100 sqn Hawk.
Could anyone tell me where I can get 1/10th scale graphics for skull
and cross bones motif, RAF roundels and flashes etc.

I want to recover the top wing of a 482 span WW1 A/C (FE8) that I didn't
quite finish building decades ago.
I'm looking for a drab olive green to match the existing covering that

OK, people, it was fun while it lasted.  When AOL stopped carrying this
Group, my link to it became tedious at best.  All the off topic junk
and petty bickering is getting to me, too.  I confess I've a part of
some of it in the past, but no more.  I'll still be glad to help and

I know the odds are slim of finding someone who has done this.
I was given a SilverLit X-Plane, which comes with a small lightweight
digital camera that can be triggered by a button on the transmitter.
Plane and camera are connected by a 3-wire system (red black brown)

I've seen this go for as little as $53 dollars to the winning bidder.
They're selling alot of them.  Sounds to good to be true, but I'm
getting really weary trying to find an ideal first plane.  I now have
two balsa and tissue free flight planes that I've had forever and

Sent to the CAA  General Aviation Department and I expect their reply next
week.  The CAA staff concerned are, unfortunately, currently out of the
office but return early next week.
