I'm a newbie. I just got my wings two months ago, using a Nexstar, and have graduated to my second plane (A "Somethin' Extra" with plenty of expo and rates set to 1/4 of factory recommended so it behaves like a pussycat. I recommend it).

I'm looking to resurrect my 15 year Great Planes Spectra. The motor and rcvr batteries, of course, are shot. Rather than buy a separate rcvr battery can I buy just a BEC to use in it's place? If so can someone suggest a supplier?

I used to build from scratch a lot but at the prices I found at thi place .... I AM NOT PART OF THIS COMPANY, NOR DO I HAVE INTEREST IN/WITH THEM Why should I even build now from scratch if I can them at these price

I've got a buyer for my KOTA Mig-25 fuselage, but am having a heck of a time getting quotes for sending ti to the States from the Toronto area. Purolater will do it for $145+, but I seem to recall hearing about other companies.

I can fly a trainer (Seagull Arising Star) with confidence and now want to move to a low-wing model. Is the Great Planes Super Sportster 40 MkII ARF too ambitious? Any other advice / info on this model worth knowing? Thanks!
