Question20 Sep 2005 13:39 GMT5
Can anyone give me some idea of what can cause a plane to kind of fall out
of an outside loop. I get the plane started down toward the ground from 12
o'clock and everything is ok until it reaches about 8 o'clock then it wants
to roll out to the right. I am thinking maybe just not ...
Gasoline Prices20 Sep 2005 00:47 GMT149
How is it in your part of the country ?
Here in Connecticut we hit $3.19 a gallon for regular today.
ONLY, a "LITTLE" jump.  Yesterday it was $2.79 a gallon.  All
indications are that gasoline will pass the $4.00 mark this weekend.
Shows and swap meets19 Sep 2005 23:58 GMT1
Can anyone give me a link to shows and swap meets in the midlands area?
I am new to this game but already realise that the best prices are to be had
at the shows.
I am into electric flight only if that makes any difference.
This is a very pricey hobby to start!19 Sep 2005 22:49 GMT14
Last week I posted to this group as a newbie, asking what would
be a good glider to learn to fly r/c models with. There does not seem
to be many kits available for beginners like me, but I have found a
couple, but with added expenses.
What kind of battery runs a receiver/servo?19 Sep 2005 21:54 GMT8
I'm a non r/c guy that is about to become an r/c guy.  I have scaled up an
old Jetco 20 hlg to 36" wingspan.  Still no motor, just hi-start launch.
The pod is fat enough to fit a micro receiver and servo in for a rudder only
glider.  But, what kind of battery supply would I need ...
Is single channel V tail possible?19 Sep 2005 21:52 GMT2
Thanks for all the input on my battery question.   If I build the glider
with V tail (old timer hand launch glider scaled up to 36" wingspan), is it
possible to build a single channel, rudder only?  Can I just have an
actuator rod going to one side of the V and it would basically ...
Engine question...19 Sep 2005 13:28 GMT2
What makes a heli engine a heli engine-is it simply the square head? And if
so, can the square head be swopped for a 'round' head and then be used in
aircraft??
TIA

Old JR/Galaxy Receive18 Sep 2005 10:53 GMT2
Does anyone out there have one of the plug in frequency modules for
the JR/Galaxy Dual Conversion 9 channel PCM Receiver?  I have one with
two 53 mhz modules and I cannot fly at my local field due to
interference on 6 meters...so I need to find a 72 mhz module for this

Premature gelling of 30-minute epoxy?17 Sep 2005 23:19 GMT21
Good Evening.  I finally got to assembling another ARF for myself, and I
opened up some new BSI 30-minute epoxy for the first part of the
project: joining the wing halves.  I mixed about 10 ml of the epoxy
(equal parts of resin and hardener) in a graduated plastic mixing cup,
