0-15000 feet (0-4572 meters) altitude measurement with electronic pressure sensor28 Oct 2005 21:57 GMT8
Which off-the-shelf electronic pressure sensor component (part number) would
be used to measure altitude of a baloon starting its journey from sea level
(0 meter) to 15000 feet (4,572 meter) ?
(I assume the pressure sensor outputs analog signal and which will be
New Member28 Oct 2005 07:27 GMT8
Hello!  I am a modeler of 40+ years mostly CL but I dabble in sport RC
and FF.  Most of my planes are my own designs because I dont like
flying the same ARF that everyone else owns.  Usually they have foam
wings that I cut myself.  If any of that is of interest to you drop me
Help!  Can't keep TH .61 running inverted in a GP J3 Cub!28 Oct 2005 03:25 GMT29
I am struggling with a problem.  I have a Tower Hobbies .61 engine mounted
inverted in a Great Planes J3 Cub (12x7 prop) and I can't stop it from dying
in the air.  Damn thing runs on the ground without a problem. It will run
through a whole 400ml tank without a hitch.  Have ...

I found a 40 size trainer kit the other day, buried in the closet,
and will probably build it this winter.  I'm looking for suggestions as
to what I might want to add to it, delete, etc.  I have an 8 channel
Futaba TX/RX, so there is room for more servos if needed, and I can
A Hinge and a Monocote Question27 Oct 2005 10:58 GMT14
I'm restoring an old model plane given to me by my dad some thirty
years ago - maybe longer! Anyway the CA hinges were shot, and I just
cut through them along the hinge line. I was able to re-slot where the
old CA hinges once were, and everything looks OK. Now my question: When

settings for li-po ESC...help please25 Oct 2005 13:44 GMT3
I am setting up a Hyperion ESC for Li-Po and the default setting for the low
voltage cut-off is 2.8volts for use with a 3S pack.  I thought the usual Low
Volts limit was 1 volt per cell...i.e. a LVCO of 3volts.  I can't change the
settings of the Hyperion without their Emeter.

GWS Formosa24 Oct 2005 21:40 GMT17
Some people have mentioned to me that this plane would help me practice
aerobatics.  I just dont have the time/energy to haul my stuff to my club's
field daily.  I really want to work on 4 point rolls  and rolling circles.
Do you think this plane, brushless powered might make a ...
Fuel Formulation24 Oct 2005 20:07 GMT3
I know I had a formula written down somewhere (probably in 8th grade
about 1953) to calculate how much castor to add to a given volume of
fuel, with a given amount of lube already in it, to raise it to another
level (%by volume).
Pushrod support24 Oct 2005 14:36 GMT23
I'm completing a Sukhoi 31 ARF and didn't like the dowel type pushrods
supplied for use with the rudder and elevator(they were too large and
rubbed inside the fuse) so I bought a set of Sullivan "Gold-n-rod" to
use.
