| GMS 76 vs TH 75 | 12 Oct 2005 03:49 GMT | 5 |
If the GMS 76 and the TH 75 (both made by GMS) have the same displacement, why does the GMS produce 2.5HP while the TH only 2.2HP? One is ringed and the other is ABC, but that much difference? Why do engine makers advertise horse power at these crazy high RPM's?

| Engine Prob - Need Help | 11 Oct 2005 21:03 GMT | 8 |
I have an interesting problem. I have Lanier Stinger 60 ARF with a Saito 80 in it. The engine will not turn max RPM with a full tank of gas on the ground ( Throttle opens completely- No problem). After 2 to 3 minutes of flying the engines speeds up to max RPM and then flies fine ...

| Twin Star Fuel System | 11 Oct 2005 20:54 GMT | 6 |
I recall a few years ago someone posted a note with a neat single fuel system for the twin star. Does anyone have this or maybe their own version. My .25's suck those little 4 oz tanks dry in just over four minutes. Thanks.

| Which Extra | 11 Oct 2005 15:21 GMT | 4 |
Great Planes has 2 Extras, one a Patty Wagstaff, and the other a Gene Soucy model. Both 1.60 ARF's. The price between the two is fairly comparable, the PW a little more expensive. Someone at our field has the GS model, and while it flies great, and he generally raves about it, ...

| Wite for foam wing cutter | 10 Oct 2005 04:48 GMT | 21 |
Someone somewhere mentioned that single strand unbraided fishing leader wire (50-pound) will make a good replacement for nicrome wire. Anyone have any brand names that I can look for, especially at Wal-Mart? Also, on the topic of foam cutting, my nicrome wire seems to develop a

| Perhaps silly electronics question | 08 Oct 2005 11:37 GMT | 6 |
Suppose you have (like me) a 700 mAh 7.4V Li-poly battery, rated at 10C. That means, I believe, that it's OK to draw 10 * 700mA = 7A from it. (The rating should be 10C/h to make the units work out right, but what the hell...). Now you've got a J250 motor, and between them is an
