Odd roll of MonoKote26 Nov 2005 21:34 GMT3
I've been using Monokote for abut 20 years now.  I opened a new roll today
and was in for quite a surprise.  The film looked fine but when unrolled the
backing just falls off.  Absolutely no adhesion.  But the odd part was that
the back (inside) of the monokote had a pebbled ...
Hobbico Frequency Checker26 Nov 2005 18:52 GMT2
Wondering if anyone has converted this item to run off an AC
adapter.  I would guess it would take an adapter that puts out about
4.5 volts??

Adios 94102Z25 Nov 2005 19:36 GMT2
Isn't it strange how one little mishap can lead to another and
eventually a great calamity? I had a recent experience like this when I
got some CA + on one of the leads on my 94102Z servo cable. I was CAing
a little wooden block of plywood onto a a wing spar to hold down the

Just wondering how many people have actually had a problem with these
batteries after a crash or incorrect charging , I would rather have the
person that's its happened to rather than hearsay as I don't believe all the
hype I have never seen an issue with any down my club
Another Old Kit Question24 Nov 2005 15:25 GMT7
I have some very old kits including a Bridi Kaos and an Aeromaster dating
back to the early 60s.  Will balsa lose strength over time?  It looks OK and
seems to be flexible. The plans are rolled and are so brittle they crack
when I try to unroll them but Kinkos will solve that ...

Basswood vs. Spruce any big difference?24 Nov 2005 00:51 GMT19
I am building a big (89" wingspan) airplane and inadvertantly glued a
few pieces together incorrectly (and quite permanently) so need to get some
new lumber for the main spar assembly.  It was originally supposed to be
basswood but all I can find locally is spruce in the ...
