The AMA26 Dec 2005 16:00 GMT12
An almost useless, self-serving, piece of sh.t organization, headed by the
biggest Dickheads in the hobby.
I only join for the insurance, and to be able to fly at AMA sanctioned
fields.
Advice on my first biplane26 Dec 2005 14:37 GMT2
I'm getting ready to take the plunge and buy my first biplane.  I've decided
to go with an ARF instead of a kit.  I still haven't built my first kit yet
and I don't think a biplane would be the easiest way to start out.  The
three biplane ARFs I'm choosing between are the Thunder ...
Acetone used to transfer photocopy parts to balsa26 Dec 2005 14:21 GMT7
This month's Flygin Models included a quick note in the "Letters"
section on transferring parts drawings from photocopy shhets to balsa
sheets for cutting.
I've tried it with dry irons and last night with my wife's nail polish
THis is what the AMA is.25 Dec 2005 22:56 GMT2

Engine suggestion?25 Dec 2005 04:33 GMT8
I'm trying to choose an engine for an ESM Freestyle Rush (.46 size
3D/Pattern). I've been looking at an OS 50SX or a Magnum 52XLS, but would
also consider a 60 size engine, except I know very little about which are
the good performers - there seems to be a lot more action in the ...
Fine competitors looking at rules24 Dec 2005 22:12 GMT11
This was taken from a place where open conversation has become against the
rules.

This poll is to try to help show the AMA that its members care who
Curious23 Dec 2005 17:49 GMT31
I've been on this forum for several years.  I've noticed one rather curious
thing.
I can only recall four different user names that have boasted about.
1. Their superior intellect.
Buddy/Trainer Lead Question23 Dec 2005 08:24 GMT11
I hope to my 11 year old son into flying this year.  He is mildly autistic
so I want to make sure that he has the apptitude and will be safe so I will
start him on a simulator first - I have Reflex XTR but will probably start
him on FMS first, as their is less 'physics' to worry ...

AMD Red Arrow questions22 Dec 2005 14:09 GMT1
Anyone built one of these models? I have a couple of questions before
my son and I start to build one.
We are going to fit the OS91 VRDF engine with a RAMTEC fan unit. The
instructions say that this engine will fit 'with slight modifications'
Tower Kaos 40 ARF question22 Dec 2005 10:52 GMT7
Good Evening.  I am assembling a Tower Kaos 40 MK II ARF, and have
arrived at the point of installing the belly pan onto the wing.  The
instructions say to "glue the belly pan to the wing," but do not specify
which type of glue to use.  I am assuming they mean 5-minute epoxy, but ...
RCU - R.I.P.22 Dec 2005 05:46 GMT26
Well it has FINALLY happened.
For years many here begged and pleaded for SOMEONE to host a moderated forum
where those that care could discuss AMA issues and avoid the inputs and
flames from AMA haters, or at least cool their jets.  For a while we had
