Engine mount thread15 Jan 2006 18:17 GMT13
I finally made my mind up to buy a OS120 FS for my DR1, and then discovered
the normal type of nylon engine mount are not advised for larger 4 strokes,
so I have purchased an aluminium Du-bro set.
These now require drilling and tapping.

Chief Aircraft monthly specials no more?15 Jan 2006 11:55 GMT2
I always e-mail Chief for their monthly specials price list.  I just went to
their site to do just that and there is no longer an e-mail form to get the
specials list or any mention of monthly specials at all.  Bummer!
Anyone local to Chief Aircraft know the scoop?
aircraft id?14 Jan 2006 15:49 GMT2
Hello.  A friend at work recently gave me a model his father had stored in
his attic when he passed away.  This plane is a 3 channel, high wing, about
6' wingspan.  The fuse is stick-built and quite large and boxy.  The wing is
glider like, with mild polyhedral. An OS  .15 engine ...

Nextstar problems14 Jan 2006 02:35 GMT4
Hate 'em...every one that I have ever helped students with has flown
like a boxcar with or without all the bells and whistles attached. Got

One is really bad.  Switched wings between the two and no change.  The

Low Temp Covering13 Jan 2006 00:46 GMT8
Sorry to ask this question again, because I know there was a thread about
this recently, but I couldn't find it.
Besides Econokote, what other brands of foam-safe low temperature iron-on
coverings are available and where can I find them online?  A buddy of mine
Ready 2 Query13 Jan 2006 00:31 GMT4
Just a quick query to all who own and/or built a Ready 2.
Ye curvy one bought me the Ready 2 as Christmas Pressie and I've had a

I hadn't quite banked on having to paint it but what type of paint

Airplanes with flat plate wings12 Jan 2006 22:31 GMT67
Over in RCGroups, there are a whole raft of depron planes that use
flat-pate wings (as opposed to the traditional rib/spar style of
construction.)
I am looking at doing a design for a pusher and am thinking about going

Stuff for sale; Fox, Futaba, Sterling, Airtronics, TopFlite12 Jan 2006 02:03 GMT10
I got too much "stuff", or so I'm told, and figure since I've had some
of this "stuff" for too long, and done nothing with it, I need to get
rid of some of it.
