Review of Hacker ED328 Feb 2006 22:26 GMT1
I remember seeing a review of the Hacker ED3 in one of the current
model magazines, but for the life of me, I can't seem to locate it.
Can anyone tell me the issue it is in?
TIA

Has anyone purchased a model from this company. I have a suspicion the
quality (or lack thereof) is similar to Vmar. Any comments would be
appreciated.
Electric power for DMECO Livewire Kitten28 Feb 2006 03:26 GMT4
I've got a DeBolt Model Engineering Company (DMECO) 34" span Livewire
Kitten.  A design from the early '50s, originally it was single channel for
.049 nitro.  (It was a novelty for the time, using a tube (valve) regen
receiver using several 22.5 volt photo flash batteries for R/F ...

NexStar - remove dihedral?27 Feb 2006 02:21 GMT1
I've got a NexStar that has served me very well for over a year.  Now I
would like to take the dihedral out of the wings.  Without going into
my reasons for doing so, I am seeking information from anyone who has
already made this change and could offer some advice.
Retrievers and Airplanes26 Feb 2006 15:27 GMT8
We're new dog owners, having owned dogs (rather than lived with parents
who owned dogs) for just over a year.
Our new poodle is of a line of real honest-to-gosh _hunting_ poodles, so
his retriever instincts are strong.
Plans26 Feb 2006 12:26 GMT11

I am fancying the Sopwith Triplane, which I have not been able to find
kitted anywhere, but would like some advice on how good the instructions
What happened to MDS?25 Feb 2006 20:58 GMT18
I know that Horizon dropped the MDS line, but I expected it to reappear
under a new name, with either the same engines rebadged or new
products.  The company was Russian, did they go under?  Or did Putin
give them a military contract?
Portable small sander25 Feb 2006 17:52 GMT11
Does anyone know if a small portable self contained portable battery
operated sander about the size as follows; 2 x 3 x 6 inches and a
sanding disk about 3", small enought to be moved by one hand and heavy
enough so it will stay put while sanding angles on balsa strips up to

I plan on using a Saito 91 in it. All input will be appreciated.

Safety of Saphion Batteries ?25 Feb 2006 09:05 GMT18
I'm looking at using LiPo batteries for an upcoming project, but have been
concerned about the safety issues and so am looking at the Saphion technology.
Everything that I have read seems to indicate that the safety of Saphion
batteries is comparable to NiMH batteries. Does anybody ...
A Long Hello...Again25 Feb 2006 02:20 GMT54
    I am back.
I have been negligent with my modeling ("Father, forgive me
for I have sinned...") but, you see, we had this storm down here in
Picayune, MS,  and the model shop got hit by a carport and it almost
Pilot's24 Feb 2006 23:05 GMT2
Does anybody have a recommendation for 2 pilots for a Flair Taube,
preferably ready painted.
I have searched the usual shops but they seem to sell what I want but don't
have any pictures of what they are selling.
Little Depron Biplanes24 Feb 2006 16:35 GMT11
Some time ago a parked my Comet Gull in the top of a 150' tree.  We had
a wind storm that night so it's reparable, but it needs some work to be
flyable again, and my "paint booth" for doping tissue is the back porch
of my shop which is a bit cold this time of year.
