Deans' polarity21 Mar 2006 11:24 GMT9
I'm about to start using some Dean's plugs and was trying to figure out
the "standard" polarity used.  Which terminals do most people use for
positive and negative?  I've seen a few batteries etc that come with
the plugs already installed and I'd like not to have to switch
Sorta' Surprized.21 Mar 2006 06:59 GMT12
I used to post here often.  I remember when IC fliers were
suggesting that the e-fliers go away and form their own newsgroup.  I
remember when this group had little surveys to see who all wanted to
move some place more agreeable.

I bought a used Thunder Tiger Windstar EP to give soaring a shot. The plane

section of the wing with no balsa underneath it. I have no ...

Parkzone Stryker F-27 CG?19 Mar 2006 20:48 GMT2
Been wanting one of these for a while but didnt want to buy the radio system
that came along with it. OK for beginners but waste of money for somebody
that already has several radio systems. Plus I wanted to put an 020
brushless on it with a LiPo pack.
Re: AMA - RCU relationship19 Mar 2006 17:40 GMT8
JR,
You are obviously in tight with the AMA EC, have you ever brought this up to
them?  As an RCG regular have you addressed the issue there, have they made
any effort to submit a proposal to the AMA? Or have you suckered us into
MotoCalc accuracy?19 Mar 2006 13:35 GMT4
As you may know, I'm new to the brushless/LiPo world.  I have jumped in head
first and am floundering around happily so far (and will be happier yet when
spring weather gets here to upstate NY).
I've been playing around with MotoCalc, plugging in the numbers for my RCer
Zagi Servos19 Mar 2006 05:56 GMT8
I've just bought a Zagi 480 si.  I bought Hitec HS 81 micro servos under
recommendation.  However, the pre-moulded holes in the zagi seem to be for
standard servos; the holes are too big and too deep for the micro servos.
The instructions in the box recommend standard servos. ...

Honeybee CP2 CCPM electric heli for sale18 Mar 2006 19:53 GMT2
This item is for sale at rcuniverse.com
Hi heli buffs. My wife bought this heli for me but it is too small for
me to fly. I have very poor vision and need something larger and
easier to see so my loss can be your gain.
Prop choice17 Mar 2006 03:54 GMT18
Hi, Here's the situation. I have been using a 10 x 7 prop and am happy
with the performance.  Then a friend with a static thrust meter
measured and compared a 12 x 6 prop and found that the larger diameter
prop  has nearly twice the thrust.
Throttle back on downwind17 Mar 2006 03:46 GMT96
I saw this quote from Paul Metcalf, about the crash (a couple of years ago)
of that magnificent B-52 project...
"With models you should throttle back on down wind lines to avoid the
airplane being over stressed, but in this case Gordon throttled back too
