Anyone ever check the balance of their spinners?18 Apr 2006 00:30 GMT28
I maidened a little no-brand Chinese .40-size Ultimate ARF today (exact copy
of The World Models Ultimate).  I used a new Super Tigre .40 ringed for
power.  I was having a hell of a time getting it to run right... it was
unresponsive to the needle at times due to what seemed to ...

Airplane Kits17 Apr 2006 07:15 GMT32
Anyone know of a good website that has reasonable airplane kits?  I am
looking for a balsa wood kit with a wing span of 48" or more.  I have
looked around at various websites but none have too many balsa wood
kits.  They are all going to ARF kits.
Easy model for visiting grandson16 Apr 2006 23:22 GMT6
My 8-year-old grandson will be visiting.  I'd like to get an rc airplane
(readymade) for us to fly together.   My plan is to get it in advance, teach
myself how to use it, and then teach him.  (I've never flown rc models).   I
saw a couple in a toy store, "Air ...
Aerofly not so great16 Apr 2006 16:21 GMT5
I had the old Great Planes RealFlight which worked fine for it's day.
After a lot of reading I decided to give AeroFly a go.
The graphics are pretty nice.

RC Plane Flying in San Francisco East Bay Area15 Apr 2006 18:32 GMT4
Are there any RC hobbyist in the San Francisco Bay Area? I'm in the
East Bay and I can't for the life of me found a great place to fly my
plane.  There are some parks nearby with open spaces, but the spaces
are much too small to practice on since I'm a newbie and am still

Last night, in anticipation of flying today, I thought i would charge my tx

medium, or long glow plugs?
Pro Peak Super Nova 13 Apr 2006 18:58 GMT3
Hiya all again, this charger is the bane of my bloody life. Ok, when i
connect it to the drive battery, 12v car type battery, the connector sparks,

connected, & with No programme selected, it is pushing out 12v ...
